Let's face it - ANY of the guys so far could do the job - and I bet the other upcoming two could as well. These guys are all world class drummers. I think it will come more down to personality and how that person fits in. From what we've been shown so far (and it DTs choice what we have been shown) I think Mangini seems to fit in best. Although I really liked what that big guy did the best (can't remember his name off hand - Kurt? something.......).

Amazing ... ready for Episode 3 ... when does that one come out?

Part 3 arrives on Friday April 29th, 16:00 UK (GMT+1), 11:00 EST

I'll be ready with a posting! Cannot wait, this has been awesome. Every one of these guys is rockin'.

Shame the audio was cam audio only for Derek's audition, he sounded really powerful.

Incidentally, anyone noticed for the new Jam riff that Jordan wrote, JP has wheeled out the Stealth JP7, but used the Cherry Burst JP6 with Marco, as Jordan led the riff with a return of the infamous dirty organ? Brutal riff, I love it.

I noticed the Axe-FX as well...I was going to mention it actually. In the first vid you can catch him switching some settings around. Would LOVE one. Wonder how he has it running?

I'm having a hard time choosing between Mangini and Minnemann...best two so far IMHO. Good thing I don't have to :). I'ld be freaking out if I got to play with ANY of the others, sick SICK drummers, but those two feel most at home.

I believe he uses it for effects only.

Ok, so watched #2. Let me just say that turning up to a DT audition with a Cookie monster T-shirt ("nom nom nom") shows you have balls of steel.
