As promised, my $100.00 has been sent as a gift. I'm so glad to see this going on. People doing what they are supposed to for one another. Restores my faith in humanity!

Nearing $2000 in donations.......Thank you for the support!

You guys absolutely make me proud. I'm ex-military and was programmed to sort of think "Whatever is the worst, that's probably what's going to happen" but I'm so happy to leave that behind me.

There's hardly anyone here, I'd imagine, that hasn't been touched (in a bad way) by that m*&$fu*k^ng cancer. I lost my mother in law - and she was as close to a saint as you can get - and I lost my old running buddy Danny, who was barely in his forties - jesus, the list goes on and on. We lost Strangeglow's wife this year, too. So to contribute to someone who has kicked its ass is a relief and a pleasure. I wish I could do more of this.

I've said it before but I'll say it again. I am proud to be associated with you guys. Basses are cool, but this just takes it to another level entirely.

Let's keep the momentum going. I have a totally mint natural Sterling 35. If someone donates $500 to this cause, I will ship you the bass. Outside Canada and the US, the shipping will be extra.

I'm adding this to the OP! Very generous of you man! :)

Wow, thank you for that offer Jim. That is very kind of you. Also to update everyone where we are at, as of today we are at $2,150.00. And again, I cannot thank you all enough for all you have done.
Many blessings to you all!

I have a deal in the works with Volker on the skinny string side. If it goes through I am going to throw in another $100 and I believe he is doing the same. Let's keep the ball rolling.

Went through thyroid cancer with Angela (my wife) about two years ago. Two surgeries later she's cancer free.

I'll be giving her a little pill every morning for the rest of our lives together and I'm happy to do so.

$100.00 sent - glad to help!

Anthony, it's amazing how many people I have learned have either gone through cancer or have close loved ones who have. For this years re-lay, I was going to try and book some artists to play it. I have actually been trying to find out who the booking agent is for Sheryl Crow and/or Melissa Ethridge as I know that they too are breast cancer survivors. I would love to get one or both to play at our relay this year. The other thing I was thinking about today was getting a large group of musicians together to write and record a song about those who have battled with cancer. Who knows, maybe Lord willing I can get that done in the near future. My vision is to have the proceeds of a song like that go to help further research or even others in a similar situation to ours.

Please give my regards to your wife. I am glad that she too is a survivor! Cancer sucks and I want to help do my part to kick its butt!

It looks like there hasn't been any posts on this thread since 11/3, so I've sent another $50 to JayDawg in order to bump this thread back up to the top. :)

Have a great weekend everyone.
