I'm useless at photoshop but maybe someone else here with more skills could morph the honeyburst colour from the Silo onto the bongo.

If it's a BONGO, it's everything this forum has been howling for.
Bongo with a clear finish
Non Painted Neck
Roasted
Light and tasty
Limited
I gotta say, that we've gotten pretty much EVERYTHING we've asked here on the forum from EBMM... Incredible. I love it here.
Very well put!!
I am definitely looking for a Bongo 5Hp Unlined Fretless. I think this special edition will make for a very classy-looking fretless!!
Once I find out whether or not my local dealer can get one of these for me I will be pulling the trigger. I'm just waiting for a callback from them. I know for sure there is a dealer in another city in this province who can order them and deliver it to me. I'd prefer to buy it locally but...you gotta do what you gotta do.
If your local dealer isn't a part of the Premier Dealer Network, he won't be able to get one.

Definitely satin, no gloss on this one. Same finish process as a production model. These look awesome, but I need clarification regarding the neck. The announcement flyer posted in post #1 of this thread says that the necks are "Figured roasted maple necks with gunstock oil and hand rubbed special wax blend finish". So am I correct in my understanding that these necks have a "satin" finish even though the necks have been roasted?

Is there an ordering window on this (other than 2012 as stated in the flyer)?
I hope not. I'm in negative income mode right now - wife lost her job two months ago.

Unfortunately this rules me out. I'm hooked on EBMM's high gloss lacqured necks now.

For some reason my local dealer is not on the premier dealer list but their sister store in Vancouver is listed. I figured the Vancouver store can order it for me and then ship it to one of their Calgary stores.
You can always have a gloss finish added aftermarket.
And how would the matching headstock work on a Bongo?
Has pricing been posted yet?
Oh my, I LOVE the idea of a honey-burst 'hog Bongo, but why waste all that roasted toasted figured goodness with a pau ferro board and a matching headstock?? it. does. not. compute.
And how would the matching headstock work on a Bongo? I wouldn't think those killer lines would lend themselves to the task very easily.
