I wonder how long itd take to play a billion notes, and if anyone would have the stamina.

That would be extra special since there are only 12 notes.

Even if you consider the different octaves those notes can be in, I seriously doubt there are a billion. :D

With harmonics, and distortions, there are indeed over that many notes...+1 to Fig.

Name them. If they don't have a name, they are just derivitives of the originals. :p

Can you name all the stars in the Universe? Yet they are there and each one is unique upon itself.

As a matter of fact, I can. I've named them all "Winthrop Alabaster Picklewick." None of them objected, so I guess they are all cool with it.

Oddly enough, I'm into neither notes, nor space.

My playing is all about the mass, baby. That's why I play Bongos. :D

I must now agree...Bongos have bottom. They would make Jennifer Lopez blush!!:D

Um...Jamerson had some pretty note-y basslines. The man knew how to keep it busy while staying out of the way, but "less is more" is NOT how I would describe Jamerson's style. :D

Okay, I can see your point there...

He played a lot of notes--he just always knew the right ones.

THAT'S' what I meant to say! ;)

No, I can't. But send me $29.95 and I'll name one after you!

I'll just go out and find me a fence post instead of trying to make a point here. I'll have more success.

In western music, there is a 12 note convention. In eastern... well, that's a whole different ball game.

The audio frequency spectrum is bounded but inifinite. Pick a frequency, I got a note for ya'. :p

Whoever is playing eastern music here, raise your hand. :p

I used to play in a band that played both kinds of music. Country and Western! :D

Joe I like your attitude, and your stage poses. As a fan of good stage performance over technical ability myself, I must say, I fully agree.
