well in 47 years Im yet to get sand in my Face, but when you Play 1959 and 1960 Fender P and Jazz Basses that weigh Nothing for 20 years and sound Incredible, don't tell me you have to play a 50 Pound bass to get tone.

Sorry it doesn't happen, Maybe in the Indonesia your considered a Man if your bass or guitar weighs 15 to 30 pounds, well they can keep sending them over there too.

Hey Dave, was your sense of humour surgically removed recently?

I'm sure California is a great place to live Dave, but that's no reason to put sh!t on me for where I happen to be living and working at the moment.

As much as I enjoyed the T-Bird I enjoy the Bongo more. So it goes to Steve for a Stealth Bongo 4 banger, HS.

Stealth is my favorite finish on a Bongo! That will be awesome.

Hank Marvin was a Huge Fiesta Red guitar guy in the UK and This is why many of that color went there all thru the 60's, and still to this day I get more emails from the great folks there for that color.

But yes I'm also a huge fan of Candy Apple Red, Awesome color.

I still have a few of the early 60's fiesta Red, and these still are very true to the color, mind you they're very clean basses. But still have the Pinkish color to them other then the Later 60's where they we're much more darker red.

Back on topic . . ;)
I with DJ on this

I'm 6'3" 230lbs and can lift
8x10's up stairs but I’m wondering
why I’m playing heavy axes when I
really don't have to? I know I can find
lighter MM's that sound & look just as
good or better.

My '92 and '00 are really nice @ 7/8+
while my '95, '05, & '06 are 10/11+
I think I may eventually sell-off some
of the latter and look for lighter versions
. . they are all great basses but the lighter
ones just feel better IMHO

Now, if you would only go over and beg Jack to sell you that sparkly Sterling and bat your eyelashes at him maybe you can counter Tiffies grand slam for me. :)

The old duck and swerve, eh Dave. Nice work ;)

BTW, I'm Australian, and just happen to be living and working in Indonesia right now. Thought I would clarify that, since you seem a little confused.

Jack will sell it for sure someday but he has to be ready. It will be after we have forgotten about the little boy blue. His heart is in Bongos.

That's a Brooklyn Gear "Perfect Strap" which is a bit different from the original "Comfort Strap". They're in the midst of switching manufacturers again and the three I sent out to the gurls were the last of the second generation straps. I have to call Adam tomorrow to see if they have the 3rd generation straps in yet.

The leather "S" shaped strap is one of the custom "neck dive cure" straps I have Glenn Cronkhite (Reunion Blues founder) make up to my specs. The "S" shape to them helps out quite a bit on neck heavy basses like on that black bird you're trading in but is unpadded.

Are the lengths still the same? I actually have the first Comfort Strap in the smallest length and the shortest setting available!! It adjusts from 33"-37" in length. I'm only 5' 2" so I hope they keep making the short length.

It is indeed a WONDERFUL strap. The only drawback is that it is clingy on your shirts/tops. That's it. Nothing else.
