The original Comfort Strap is different from the second generation "Perfect Strap" and now I'm waiting on the third generation "Perfect Strap" to come in from Brooklyn Gear...I won't know until I get them in.

The 2nd generation Perfect Straps were originally offered in 3 lengths but they quickly dropped the "Extra Long" size and I bought them out on the last of those well over a year ago...they would hang down by your knees they were so long. I think they went out to 72". Then they only offered two lengths and the shortest of which was still too long for a lot of players.

I gotta call Adam at BG when I get a chance to see if the new 3rd generations are in yet and what lengths they are...just busy now processing through these 30th Rays this week and next but I promise to do so at my earliest opportunity.

Hey, Steve - I got the straps in the mail day before yesterday and took them to last night's gig w/ me. The leather one definitely worked better for me than the neoprene one - I think it's the width that seems more comfortable. I was able to get the right length with a couple of adjustments - It's actually shorter the strap I was using, once it's adjsuted. No pics yet - I took my camera, but once things got rolling, forgot all about it! I'll try again.
Oh, and thanks for the shirt - I found my 2 teenagers haggling over it yesterday morning - the bass player won!

Holy cow, you make a sterling look HUGE :D

I use an original comfort strap. I had to shorten it. Actually I wear my bass like a neck-tie compared to your picture! heheh Color me a dork.

Today i shortened my Stephi's strap that i LOVE, but was just too long before. Few minutes with a pair of scissors, a charcoal grill lighter, and a sewing machine and its back to being my strap :)

The levy's strap that I had bought to replace it was short enough, but uncomfortable.

<3333 happy day.

I love how small the body of a Sterling is. I don't look like a kid playing my dad's bass.

Ditto for me. I was set on buying a SUB Stingray until I played the SUB Sterling. No contest as far as comfort.

And I may go Bongo for a five string for the same reason. I just want to compare it to the Sterling5 first.

I like the sterlings small body as well. I dont have a problem playing larger basses anymore, but the weight is nice and managable.

When I first started bass several years ago, I was a lot smaller. Im 5'10'' now, back then I was 5'3'' playing a jazz bass :p It dwarfed me.

i can't be the only one that ties helium filled weather balloons to my bass so it hovers weightlessly beneath my fingers.

after all, how else am i going to manage with my piano-wire guitar strap?

Want me to bring the camera on Saturday? You'll have at least 1 MM bass there....
