Why does he want to spoil a perfectly good guitar, His personality will show through his playing....Won´t it ???

He didn't spoil it. He made it his own.

And, you can check out if his personality shows through his playing when Kimbra plays Spain again. You missed them in September....

Worth posting twice, I think.

Looks good, Fagan.

If you don't mind me asking, how is it attached to the bass..? Did you drill it and screw it or is it an adhesive-type attachment..? It doesn't appear to have any screws in it... or I just can't see them in the photos...?

To each their own. I am one who believes if you are going to cover something awesome up, what you cover it with should be equally as awesome. Personally I think the Reflex top is already too busy, and that a PG will just clutter it more. I also liked the first guard better than the second. Covering up too much of that awesome metallic burst is not something I would do.

Also, as a pickguard, it should logically be in the area most likely to suffer damage.

I'd definitely take it (if I had the extra money). Love that color. I don't think it looks bad with the pickguard, but I would remove it if it were mine. I love that rosewood neck with the maple fingerboard! Nice.

personalize their axen, which I certainly do to mine.
I just have nothing positive to say about that PG,
unless "There's no accounting for taste" can be said
to be a positive remark. Anywho, tweech derroan ...

I was more speaking to the fact that EBMM CUSTOM built this beautiful "ONE OF A KIND" instrument for HIM, and within a year he's selling it?

Sorry, I just couldn't keep that to myself.

Is it real custom made? I did not participate in this thread last year. Looks like vandalized rosewood BFR with sawed of fingerboard and refinished into "lamborghini orange one of a kind blablabla" for me. If someone will be going to take it I'd recommend to check the S/N first.

I don't usually like maple fingerboards, but I might have been tempted to buy this one, if it was available in Norway. The price is not bad, the neck is ... interesting ... and Reflex basses are virtually non-existent in this part of the world.

Shipping from Australia to Norway, OTOH... the price for that is probably pretty bad. And I'm not going to go out of my way for a 4 stringer anyway.

I believe that is saying something... about nothing.

To all that have issues with the pick guard.. you can simply remove it. It's not a big deal because it's just double sided tape. The reason for selling is that I am now playing guitar and we have another bass player and I figured someone would really appreciate this bad boy. I have a few bass guitars and I use this one the least.
Makes complete sense to me. He's not suffocating kittens here for crying out loud. Good luck with the sale man!

I believe that bass is actually in New Zeland

The ebay listing said:

* Postage: Local pick-up offered.
* Item location: Melbourne Victoria, AU, Australia

Anyway, the newest update seems to be that "This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available."

Makes complete sense to me. He's not suffocating kittens here for crying out loud.

I have to agree. Whatever deal he has or had with Music Man regarding the custom build, that's between MM and him. And as long as the bass is his, he's free to sell it, give it away, put it on fire, play baseball cricket with it, or put five pickguards on it, if he so pleases.

I can't see that he has done anything wrong, except maybe breaking the forum rules by updating this thread (that he started himself btw) instead of using this thread or this one. But even if that was an offense (of which I'm not sure), that is still between him and the forum moderators.
