If it were a Les Paul style would slapping be an issue? I considered it but in the end I thought it would look cool, but get in the way. I plan on continually changing my pick guard all the time so I'm probably gonna get a range of options to suit what I wear on stage :)

One option for that would be to use a clear pickguard with different pictures underneath. You can create a pattern/color, print it out, and cut it to the shape of your guard.

Here's what I did with my Bongo.

The final version will be closer to this FYI

Still deciding on the colour / finish for the guard

Much, much better, but needs realization, ...however, ...stick with vintage white pearloid color for that pg, ...obviously fits the best!

P.S. ...when You finish all mods, please check our 25th and reflex club at TB forum too!

With regards,

Keko

elecrtolegs,

one Q:

-is that maple fret board finished with something, or it's just oiled and waxed like on standard serial produced reflex?

It's just sanded and oiled. Very nice indeed. I also found out there isn't 2 models .. Kev told me upon rejection of the first model, they shipped it back to the factory and sanded the body back and my bass is where it ended up. So looks like this is truly a one off.

I want it to either blend in and not be Di much a feature .. Or .. The opposite.

Plain white doesn't get me excited haha

I think your idea of quickguards.com was a good one. Here's the fireburst gold crackle photoshopped onto my white Bongo.

That looks great! Makes me wonder how that would look on my stealth bongo.

Oh man...that looks awesome. You're pretty handy with photoshop too hey? Nice work.

Hmmm...this site looks like it might provide just the ticket for my Blacksugar Bongo.

Actually, Mike Quick actually did the photoshop. He sent me about 12 different ones. I'll post a thread with all of them at some point today.

And, I guarantee he has some stuff that will look AMAZING on Black Sugar.

Guys - I need to mock up my pick guard to scale. has ANYONE got the measurements of the reflex? I got the HH obviously too. I need to make sure I got it to scale but have nothing to measure it with.

I believe that information is TOP SECRET. I'm not messing with ya either. Unless someone has this model and is willing to give up that information. I've heard that BP will come to the offenders home and force them to eat Smoked Ribs until they say UNCLE!

I doubt anything ascertainable with a ruler is TOP SECRET.

Unfortunately, I don't own a 4 string reflex. All the product page has is the width, which is 12-7/8". I'm going to go out on a limb and say that's at the widest point.

What dimensions are you looking for? Distance between pickups, distance from pickups to side of bass, distance from neck and bridge? someone here should have access to a tape measure and a reflex 4HH. But, they'll need to know what you need with a little more specificity.
