33 and work in IT as a director of engineering. Had a software company and successfully sold it off last year ... now working for the guys that bought us.

Been playing for almost 20 years but don't gig much anymore (looking to change that this coming year). Have a basement with way too much gear, though I keep looking to add a few more EBMMs to the collection ...

Among the collection are a Rolls Burgundy Sil Special and a Blueburst Morse. Now debating an Axis and/or a Luke.

It's great to see this thread still going strong, and even better the knowledge that this forum is made up of really amazing people...It's great finding out a little more about all of you.

I couldn't agree more. Being a new guy to the forum it's been a pleasure getting to know everyone a little better.

Wow.... cool thread.
33 Years old.
I am a jack of many trades, but....
I run a commercial construction business here in NY, soon to mine when my Father in Law retires next year.
I still do commercial/graphic arts on the side, teach guitar, and fix and finish just about anything. My only problem is I'm a perfectionist which people don't like to pay for anymore.
I have a wife and a 4 month old son, who kicks serious ass.
Other hobbies include fabricating anything with any medium, especially wood and metal. I've even build a much better than Gibson could Les Paul...:) Also have been into Martial Arts(Kung Fu) for about 20 years.
Nice to meet all of you on a more personal level.
Steve

I'm 27 and a draftsman for a land surveying company. I just sit around and draw maps all day long.

Of course I'm a musician at night, playing in 2 bands. 1 is an original band called Freak Magnet. People say we sound like a cross between Black Label Society, Clutch, and Corrosion of Conformity. My 2nd band is a classic rock cover band (no name yet, still getting started) covering Van Halen, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, The Cars, and Metallica (pre-black album) just to name a few.

Thanks for the B-day wishes....I did not mention the other stuff so it goes like this:

Married.
1 daughter.

I do stuff for the gov't.

I play EBMM guitars.

I have had the priviledge of meeting Kbaim and OC and sat in awe of their wonderful and versatile playing......

summary

this thread just shows that all the smart people end up playing EBMM guitars!

there's enough expertise here to form some sort of think tank! But that just sounds like more work, when we could all be playing guitars..

Raz..

Yeah, it's in the blood.. I come from a long line of guitar-playing beer brewers! Although I'm an IT guy, I have tried my hand at homebrewing, with decent results! So I guess that's in the blood too.. I just hope nobody asks me to hit a breathalyzer! ;)

Very nice thread! I'm 30 years old and a QMS Manager in medium size company. I have a great wife and an amazing son who is 11 months old now and he loves my EBMMJP (!!). I am an amateur guitarist. I started playing guitar when I was maybe 16 or 17. I played in few bands, now I am a bedroom player but I'm still preparing to hit the local stages with a great rock band ;)

Greetings from Poland!

I knew if I waited long enough, I'd win the "Oldest Fart Award" (sorry Jon). I'm 52 and have been working with folks with disabilities for 30 years (from teacher's aid to university professor). Played in my first band when I was 12, but played bass, which naturally led me to my profession :D . Got my first grandbaby on the way in January and still have kids at home (10,13,16).

My EBMM is a '97 AS with a nitro lake placid blue paint job, bone nut, Seymour Duncan alnico II pros in all positions, and string savers.

This has been crafted on an iMac G4!
