Dargie, Can you taste the pesto in the biting wind , with the strings of your hoodie blowing into your mouth? Frozen pesto sounds appealing to me YUMMMMMM
Speaking of pesto in the wind... actually over by TKB (I don't think High Street holds a candle to the sandys at TKB) there's a spice packing plant and today they must have been packing basil because it was exactly that - Pesto in the Wind.... do I hear a Kansas song coming on?
Intense stuff.......Actually....I've got you both topped...I'm just going to go down to Jensens and pick up a whole loaf of french bread along with some Top notch peppered turkey and maybe some delectable cheese of my liking....then I'll have three gourmet sandwhich's for the price of one....or actually for the price on one and a half!! Hmmmmmmm' and maybe a little jensens egg salad on the side....yes,yes...it's all coming together now!!
Here's a few handy tips for Airline travel with your sandwich-
If you can't afford an ATA case for your deli sandwich or cheesesteak, I suggest using a HSC for it, encased in heavy cardboard, then put in a lunchsack.
Have it marked as "SPECIAL HANDLING- EDIBLE AND DELICIOUS!
and the excellent staff will make sure that it arrives unscathed, uneaten, and with all the condiments it had originally. Not squashed; never happens.
Altho a sandwich gig-bag is nice, (I prefer Handibag ZipLocs) there is no guarantee
that there will be room on the fold down tray.
Y'all working in the beautiful Central Coast- Having so much beauty, tranquility, and space....eating delicious deli sandwiches....
Well, I'm BACK, here in EL-LAY til the 15th, and tomorrow, I'm going to TITO'S TACOS in Culver City.
los burritos con gato are very good, spicy, with just the right amount of heat....
But what I am craving most, after 3 months of road food, ranging from the best haute cuisine to the lowest of the low (Think RaceTrack hotdogs, or...
***shudder*** Waffle House! )
is
TITO'S TACO con PERRO
How can anyplace compete with comida mexicano
from INDIO fer gawsh sakes???
Why, that is the land of NOPALES itself!
It's rife with the spirits of the food!
I have passed thru Indio a few times, even shopped at YellowMart, but
haven't had the opportunity to try Las Cazuelas- (but I will!)
How about head-to-head for the best shabu-shabu ??
I will challenge the entire Coachella Valley, SLO, or anywhere, 'cept Yokohama or Osaka-
...and speaking of the desert- drove from SLC to Cortes Junction AZ, thru Zion, heard it was considered sacred land...Then there was Sedona, where a local lass, Caitlin, told me of the "Vortex", the very CENTER of a magnetic field, or something...I was sorta half-listening, half-staring at her.....
OOPS, wrong thread!
Is this the one about Bass guitars, or foodstuff, I forgot?
But seriously, how much is there to talk about? Basses, I mean...
U get one, u set it up right, u play it. And when you're not on a gig, you practice playing it.
Or eat...or.....monkey around....or, I dunno, read?
Wanna talk about Buttercream finish for 800 posts or sumthin'??

Could you imagine that, if they put in on a beignet from Coffee Call in Baton Rouge??
