haha, yes, I'm holding back a little info that I've privately shared with you, Mario.

Munchkin legs, aka Buttercup, has midget cat legs since she's half Munchkin and half bald Sphinx. I love this cat so much. She follows me around the house and cries really loudly if I don't give her enough attention. She has seven toes on each foot.

<--- gives Buttercup a 6-fingered wave.

I picked up a red DiMarzio cliplock strap for the Little Al.

I found this pic by doing a Google search for 'DiMarzio cliplock red'.
Interestingly enough, one of the images Google showed me was an ebmm forum pic of my very own Oinky with the Ocelot strap.

I have to say Bryan that plain red is a little dissapointing for the guitar strap.

I know exactly what you mean, Mat. I almost went with my usual Y.J.Malmsteen leopard cliplock, but at the last second I decided that maybe the leopard one would distract us from the beautiful pinkburst top.

I'd never seen a pinkburst Albert in person before. They look kind of solid red in most pics, but in person they are a very nice subtle burst.

I bought one of these for my Al-
Dark Red w/White Vinyl Racer X Guitar Strap : racing stripe silver guitar strap made in USA

It's a perfect match!
In fact I have a bunch of couch straps. . Quality products and fantastic customer service.
Highly recommended. ..

I really like the Couch racing stripe strap, but I am strictly a DiMarzio cliplock guy. Thank you for the suggestion, though :)

Jim from Noll Guitars called me this afternoon. He said that the routing is done and he is making the new pickguard. Pinkbert should be ready tomorrow. All right, sit with it for a moment...now, what do you think about: Pinkbert? A melding of the words pinkburst and Albert. It just popped into my head without even trying to think of a name.

Hey, speaking of fun with words, I brought my secret santa gift to work today and set it down. Later, everyone was asking about a present from "Nayrb", and wondered who Nayrb is. haha - get it? Cryptic right up to the last second - now that's a secret santa.

I think I like Alburst better. :)

Looking forward to the reveal!

It sounds amazing and the Sustaniac is fun, but I'm in a very bad mood because there was a communication problem, since I wanted the five ways down lower (where the tone knob was) and I don't know how they got put so much toward the neck. Jim wasn't in so I'll call tomorrow. All I said was, "If there's not enough room near the tone knob you can move them forward a little so they line up in a straight line".

Rats.

Whoa....looks awesome!

Thanks, I'm generally thrilled because Jim's work is flawless, it's just that the switch locations are a little off from my vision.

This Sustaniac is so fun. The pink five way controls the normal pickups (the pink ones), and the white five way controls the Sustaniac. I got the idea from the clear pickguard on my Dark Lord. Why hide a beautiful quilt top? I swapped out the trem arm's white tip for chrome. I'm using the battery compartment for the ebmm silent circuit for the Sustainiac's battery, since the silent circuit was removed.

Bryan,
This whole concept is really interesting to me. I'm glad you're happy with this transformation. Maybe BP will start a new model of "Al" with your signature on it. He could call it the "Big Al Bryan Sport Armadaflex". Lol!!!!:D:D:D:eek:
