Anyone experiencing talkbass problems?

Do you honestly think that every one of the 30,000+ members there is a gear snob? Is it possible to be that clueless?

I like TB but IME everyone is alot nicer to each other over here at the EB forum. Especially after the open house, I feel like it's sort of a family here..........

I agree, this place is home for me. The open house was the highlight of the year for me... and I've had a great year!

I disagree. I feel that TB is a lot more homie than this place. I understand this is a brand-oriented forum, but at TB you can talk about anything in your life. here if you stray from EBMMs you get repromanded. I posted a thread about a new bass that was not EBMM and i was immediately scolded and deleted the thread.

If all you can talk about is EBMM basses, what makes this place a better community?
Not everyone at TB is a gear snob. Here people are EBMM-centric. They are the end all of basses, anything else is not as good and cant be discussed. WHos the snob?

Well, every MM thread i've started there has been completely torn apart by "exotic" bass players. I have my reasons for not liking it over there.

I play a musicman and can tell you that many many many people love them on TB. I have yet to see someone shoot it down. "one trick pony" is about the only insult against them ive seen and you know what? Its true, the tone is generally always similiar, but its a great tone and a great player can make one tone sound like many tones.

I dont think there are anti EBMM feelings at TB.
