Look out guys, the TBers are on the prowl since their forum is down.

Figjam and Andrew. You are both looking very foolish right now.

Andrew, I know you, personally. I know you dont just snap off like that bro. Just take a breather and chill out.

Figjam. Get real. This is an EBMM sponsored (as in they pay the bill) forum. Of course some people dont want to hear about another brand of bass.

I just dont see why thats so hard for some people to grasp. EBMM pays the bills for this forum, so its really a "if you dont like it, you dont have to be here" kinda thing.

Make sense? Dont worry, I wont be surprised at all if it doesnt.

Im done with this conversation bc it is indeed pointless, just a question though

http://www.ernieball.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11817

Posting about a new amp. How does that differ from posting about a new anything thts non EB.

Also does putting OT in the title make it okay? There are OT threads here...

Its all gravy though, EB pays for the boards, it makes sense.

I just really dont think anyone is justified to insult others based on something like this. I think the insults to Tbers is unnecesary. I find in general they are very understanding about everyone and dont be mean just for the hell of it.

I dont think i was the instigator at all in any of this, fingers should not be pointed. I thnk the remarks made about TB were uncalled for and i voiced my opinion about it. The End.

Everyone here obviously likes the same basses so i dont understand why there is a need for a feud.

I apologize for interupting the flow of your forum here. Continue the TB bashing.
I will return to from whence i came , or however that goes.

You yourself use TB to sell your basses and such. If you insult the place i dont see where you are justified to use anything about it for your benefit.

Hey! I was looking for the fight. You guys derailed my thread and took my fight. I don't even know how to get in on this one. Figjam, sorry, but if I read this all correctly - you started. I didn't take stankfaces remarks personally. You took a couple of good swings at HIM though. Also, IME when people here make comments about mentioning other basses, it's somewhat toungue in cheek. I don't think you had to delete your thread. I've yet to see a mod delete a thread here. They even let the one trashing BP go on for a while during the open house. I loved it. :)

And just as an aside - I go running a couple of times a week on the boardwalk, right up to the very spot in the picture. I feel like it's a picture of my backyard.

:D

Lastly - I feel more of a sense of family here, but I think it's because there's a lot less people and we get to know each other a lot more quickly. As for where I spend more time - I go back and forth. Sometimes talkbass has got me all involved, sometimes I'm all involved here. It does seem a lot more diversified there, but again - there's lots more people, and they talk about a whole lot more useless things.

My g-friend wants me to watch My Name is Earl with her so I gotta split - this is the only time I'm spending with her this week, and I'm doin this. DOH!

You see Figs,

If EBMM was still producing amps, Im sure wed have to think more about what amps we post. However, since EBMM isnt making amps anymore, perhaps thats why there arent any probs with it.

I personally got tired of TB, because they let folks bash Bongos, but if you make fun of an ERB, youre in trouble (Its in the forum rules).

So Ive personally gotten to the point where I use TB for what I think its good for. To buy and sell gear.:D

So you are against bashing of anything? Or just things that you like?

So you wanna know what Im really against.

Im against snotty nose teenage brats, coming here and starting a flame war, at a place that 99% of the time doesnt have a flame war.

Now I see why you like TB so much. Please STAY THERE.

Well, I'm very tempted to delete THIS thread, if that makes anyone feel more or less justified...I'll probably just lock it, though, and ask you guys to try to be nicer to each other. I'm a big believer in being nice if you can, and by God, you usually can, you know?

1. Does TB suck? No. No more and no less than do we or the guys at the Dudepit. You either identify on some level or you don't. If you don't, then it sucks - for YOU. We have a lot of crosstalk between these forums and it serves no purpose to slam one on the other. I'm a moderator here, an admin at the Pit and a long-term member of TB. They is what they is. Plus we have at least two TB mods who contribute here in very positive ways.

2. Is it okay to use up EBMM bandwidth with kudos for a non-EBMM bass? Not really. It's just bad manners, really. No one gets bent out of shape about the occasional mention that we all, mostly, own other kinds of basses, but to start a thread about how good my Rumblefish is? No.

3. Is it okay to slam EB products here? Well, there is a fine line, and I only know it when I see it. Generally, the answer is no. EBMM has invited us into their living room and it's just bad manners to insult the carpet or the furniture. Solving problems is one thing. Talking trash is another.

You guys mostly know all this already. There are two wonderful forums available for whatever bass talk you want to have (TB and the Pit). This is, let me check the title above, yep, I can see it, the Ernie Ball forum.

It's for Ernie Ball talk. I think a lot of OT stuff gets by with no problem whatsoever, and I rarely have to think too hard. I like it that way.

So you guys - I'll leave this open and you go clean up your own trash, okey dokey?

Okay, that's enough.

Read my post a thousand times and play a Bongo in the morning.

Thread locked.

Basstards, making me work!
