According to the website, it's not available as a left-handed model. As for cost, it will probably price about the same as a hardtail Silhouette Special, I'd imagine.

Has anyone actually seen one of these "in the flesh" yet?

I would just get a silo special in lefty, more pup options and bridge options and you dont have anything written on the 12th fret, I know we were not going to say anything negative about that guitar but....

I have seen and played one. They're a nice guitar, the only thing i don't like about them is that they come with a funky kind of finish on them, at least the one i played did, they also come with some pretty beefy strings on them also 12's but, that's where he gets his sound and you could always swap them out for lighter gauge if you didn't like the 12's. The one i played if i remember right was selling for about $1000.00 once again they are a really nice guitar and they play really well. Hope this helps !!

I recommend going for a Silhouette, more opitions, even comes in a left handed version, l've never been fond of a one pickup guitar, not versitile. I won't even mention the Charvel EVH.

I noticed your from Australia, where in Aus are you from? there were a 2 Silhouettes in Billy Hydes here in Melbourne, but l think they were right handed, they also had about 5 Sub guitars, they are not a bad guitar at all, just ask Raz.

ya ...
i know people posted about this earlier and stuff but i dont "get" the benji sig guitar. i wont knock the guy or his guitar or anything like that; hes doing his thing and his band's doing well and that's cool.

i just dont get "it". "it " being the following: so ebmm endorses super good, virtuoso-esque, guitarists like jp morse and luke. what i dont get is the huge "gap" in the 2 groups of endorsees. example: Luke rocks but i bet if you walk into a guitar center and mention his name most people wont know who he is (especially the younger people) ... then there's Benji, who i consider the polar opposite; he's not a virtuoso and his band has reached "boy band" sort of status - where your fanbase is young and almost "temporary". that leaves a huge gap. im assuming guitar companies endorse artists in order for their company to get some exposure - hence more customers. with that in mind wouldnt it "make more sense" to endorse more popular guitarists? ... a guitarist who most people can recognize (my generic exampe is Slash), can play well, and who's fans dont outgrow their band when they turn 18.

With all that said here's my disclaimer. Im not knocking Benji or his skills, nor the other endorsees and their popularity. I'm sure that the good folks at ebmm, for a lack of a better term, "know what their doing" but im just super curious at how the process works and what the decision making factors are.

anyways if this post sucks or is way too off topic feel free to can it

Amen.

l just don't like Benji Madden as a guitarist, because of what he's teaching young guitarists today. Let me explain, a couple of months ago l picked up a guitar mag with a Benjin Madden column in it. And all he was explaining how to play was bar chords, l thought it was a joke, just the way he was saying/typing the words, it was like he was struggling with the idea of bar chords himself. Then l went back to 1996, (Same mag) and had John Petrucci in the same column teaching useful exercises, warmup exercises etc. And l thought how did guitar playing take such a nose dive.

Anyway, enough of that, Mod's delete this post if you feel l'm bad mouthing one of your endorees. I don't care.

Scott.
