BMW proposed concepts regarding materials used too. They just happenned to mention "cast ceramic" next to the {{BoNgo}} title.

OT: I think you chould change your signature to "All Your {{BoNgo}} Are Belong To Me." Just to make it even more confusing!

Kidding. Although, the idea of a copper Bongo makes me woozy.

Thanks for sharing! I think it looks pretty dang sweet but I'm very happy with what it became. That copper color would be a sweet new color for EBMM's though.

With all of the "toilet seat" comments that fly around now about the Bongo, you could multiply that by 1000 if it were made out of cast ceramic!

Any idea about how many different materials were tried before settling on basswood?

To my knowledge we made prototypes with many different woods, but no composites.
