Bongo Beginnings

Whoa. Interesting to see what it looked like then versus what it turned out to be.

Thanks, Drew - and BTW, what does "cast ceramic" mean?

BMW proposed concepts regarding materials used too. They just happenned to mention "cast ceramic" next to the {{BoNgo}} title.

OT: I think you chould change your signature to "All Your {{BoNgo}} Are Belong To Me." Just to make it even more confusing!

that's friggin' cool!

I'm glad they chaged the knob configuration to the existing design, though.

Boy, I have a lot of opinions about this thing for a 6-stringer, eh?

I like it. Of course, I don't think I would have wanted to play that design sitting down.

Howzabout a limited edition? :D

Kidding. Although, the idea of a copper Bongo makes me woozy.

Was a "cast ceramic" version made? Wonder what ceramic "sounds" like.

With all of the "toilet seat" comments that fly around now about the Bongo, you could multiply that by 1000 if it were made out of cast ceramic!

LOL. Ain't that the truth.

Nigel Tufnel: The sustain, listen to it.
Marty DiBergi: I don't hear anything.
Nigel Tufnel: Well you would though, if it were playing.

As to the prototype drawing, I dig that shortened or fatter lower horn.

Man, this makes me wanna leave work early to go play da BONGO!
