Jon, what is the deal with the compensated nut? It seems like you could just get the intonation right with the bridge adjustment. It looks pretty yar though :) (I heard Dale Gribble use the word "yar" the other day :) )
 
It is much like the Buzz Fieten(sp) system. It makes intonation more accurate.
 
Compensated nuts affect the intonation most from the first through maybe the fifth fret or so. You'd probably notice it more playing chords or playing a guitar, but it does make a difference on bass.
 
Chords on bass? Dang I almost got root V figured out. Now me gots to learn more. Oh well

Super alloy nuts? What they made of? Let me guess Kryptonite.

Jon? wouldn't a roller nut be a good thing on a guitar? Not for intonation but to keep from breaking strings? No need for a number 2 pencil if one had a little roller on the nut.

Wilkinson Roller Nuts! I think I had one of those on a Strat Plus. That was a purdy good guitar, too. Locking Schallers and stuff. Heck, I even liked the Lace Sensors. They got real loud without feeding back.

Especially on the low B. Some of those low notes can be a bi*ch if they're not intonated properly...

Of course, I guess that depends on how sensitive your ear is to that type of thing..
