Is that a pretty accurate version of Radiance Red? I've seen different pictures and it always looks a little different in each one.
RR doesn't photo well at all. I have tried it all over the place, different camera settings, lighting... you name it. The sparkles in there just have to be seen... great color, brighter than CAR and it shifts quite a bit in the lighting (due to the sparkles).

How well does the headstock color match the body? I like Radiance (a LOT) but the only one I have seen was at GC, and the headstock and neck color were more of a burgundy, and did not match the body color at all . . . .

Bootiful. Just bootiful.

Be careful with that double H. It can hurt your ears.
Never stick anything smaller than a Hammond organ in your ear canal.

I'd like to remark here that the resemblance is remarkable. Is this a breeding pair?

This matches pretty well. The neck is a little darker than the bdy, but the difference isn't obvious, as the neck is still pretty much bright red.

The lighting was OK - it was in the "Quiet Room" but is was flourescents. What I noticed the most is that the body had the metallic, and the neck/headstock did not. They had it tagged as the Radiance Limited, but unless I am desperately in need of a clue, the limited should have had a black headstock. Tagged as new, too . . . . so I dunno what to tell you, BP, the tag was pretty clear, and it looked like the right body color to me . . . and not used, unless mismarked . . . . And PLEASE don't take this as GC bashing! I only mentioned it 'cuz that's where it was!

Actually, I was a little bummed . . . had it been the true Limited, I would have probably walked out with it. It was a 5HH, IIRC . . . .

Next time I get over there, I'll see if it's still there and get a serial number, just to make sure that I am not just going insane . . . . (or maybe it's too late? Bongo fever can be pretty catchy, after all, and makes us all do crazy things with our dough . . . )

Tim, if thats the one in the quiet room at the GC on LBJ, then its actually a Candy Red.

Yeah. The first set of pics I took looked nothing like the ones you see; the bass definitely took on the "overripe tomato" effect. These are a lot more accurate. Guitars and basses in general are difficult to photograph, it seems.

That's the GC all right. I didn't think Candy Red had any metallic to it, and was it ever a limited? At any rate, the body and neck/headstock colors STILL didn't match . . .

Ping Jack if you want to trade in that Daion on another Bongo.

No, the Daion's too much a part of my playing and stage image to go away for the time being-anyway, why would I need another Bongo?:p

I'm attached to it. It was the first bass I had true, uncontrollable GAS for, hence why I have it, and it's really become a part of what I do on bass.

I get the feeling that Dude has Daion GAS
