In an effort to make up my mind on weather or not I will custom order or buy off the shelf, I need your help on clarifying something for me.
In the past, I have asked a lot of questions regarding this colour and some of you were very helpful. Especially ernie1966!
I do understand that it changes in the light and that it may take on many tones. However I because some of these pics are not thrilling to me personally, I just want to get a feel as to how the colour look "most often" or shall I say, just "sitting there" with no camera flashes shining on it.
The outcome of this thread will determine a lot for me! I have numbered the pics so that discussing them will be easier.

OK! The questions:

I'm hoping this "true colour" is more dark than it is light.

If it is! Which is closest? I'm hoping for it to be more like pic 1, 6, 10, 14
If it's more like 18, 19, 27, 29 that's awesome too.

What I don't want is like pic 25 and 26. I'm hoping those are just bad photography. (BTW - ugliest maple I've ever seen on an EBMM)

I'm guessing the colour is more like 17, 15, 11, 28 which is cool too!

Foggy,

Which guitar are you going with? I ask because I personally think CBP looks better when you can see more of it.. i.e. the guitars without pickguards.. Luke and Petrucci.

Well originally I wanted a Morse, but when I had the opportunity to play one, I was dissapointed because I found the neck to be too narrow (same with Axis) :(
Once a played a Silo, I was hooked!
So I leaning towards a Silhouette H-S-H.

I agree about what you say about non-pickguard guitars. I think the Pet and Luke look awesome in all the colours (except the really light colours - just my 2 cents)

However, I've been messing with photoshop with regards to pickguards. Give me a second and I'll post!

Hey, I recognize a few of those pics. That guy plying one in pic #28 totally shreds! :D But seriously, because I own that color, I can see it in all the pics. You are correct about it looking different depoending on the lighting, fogger. However, if I had to pick, I would say that pic #'s 2, 3, 4, 6, 19, 21, 22, and 30 best represent the true color.

Hey Fogman, I would definately suggest this color...especially, if you like the look in the pics I mentioned. If you take sparkles out of the equation, the Carbon Blue Pearl is the most beautiful coor, in my opinion. I mean, the day I received mine, I got every thing ready for the ritual, and then slowly opened the case. From the moment I opened that case it has just been total awe. I still break the guitar out often just to gaze at the beauty of the instruments craftsmenship, design, and definately the color! Here is another pic for your collection. Let me know if you would like any more pics. I'm going to take some more in a couple weeks and will post them here if you would like. Anyway, here is another pic. Enjoy! :)

This is where the idea is! If I'm not convinced of the colour than I'll give up on colours all together and go all black!

Hey Pete!
Is it posted on your website? If not, could you get me a pick or two? I was originally interested in that combination.

Here's a somewhat high-res pic so you can see it at 2 different angles under the same light, and compare it to other colors (I took this pic Friday in a lesson room, not just now).

Now in that pic both the Silo and JP look awesome!!!
That Silo doesn't happen to have piezo does it? I can't tell from the pic.
If it had non-matching headstock it would be perfect! ;)

Only one in that pic with a piezo is the Black Cherry Burst. Would you prefer I hit the Silo headstock with paint stripper and label the tone knob "piezo" ? :p

Pete,

How ofter do you get EBMM guitars with maple fretboards come in and they look VERY plain and almost white? (like the CBP Silo)
This is NOT a birdseye threat!! I just like it when the neck has a little more honey colour to it.

Oh yeah, that was a joke....

Here's a somewhat high-res pic of that Silo. You can see that the neck is more of a honey color. The first small pic lost lots of color and resolution when I saved it for the web. Plain necks are more common on non-signature guitars, but I have yet to get any that are "white"

BTW, that neck feels REALLY nice!
