I have always been obsessed with cars. Mostly new ones, although a few old ones do get my blood pumping. If I had a warehouse and the means, here's a list of what I'd have around to drive.

My 99 Mustang GT 35 anniversary edition sitting in my garage is just fine for me.

Although...when I had the means to do so a few years back...I wanted to buy a Ford GT40...but, it wasn't practical since I just became a dad....and where the hell would you put a car seat in one of those things? haha

looks like I may have to pull out the scanner tonight......I bought my first car, 1972 El Camino, freshmen year of high school. Me and the old man spent 2 1/2 years restoring it inside and out. Oh how I miss her!!!!!

No factory four speed like BP's Chevy though, that thing was a sight to behold....really top notch condition and for anybody who knows the classic muscle car era a Factory Four Speed Convertable SS Chevelle is about as good as it gets. RIP!!!!

My mom had a 2001 Honda S2000. For some reason, it was at my house for a week or so; and I couldn't just let it sit there, could I? I took it out on some of my favorite rural back roads; and have NEVER had as much fun in a car. The speeds at which I was able to take corners were face-distorting. That, and the 8,900 r.p.m. redline were enough to plant a two-week smile on my face. She traded it for a 2004 350z roadster, which was a notch or two down on the fun-o-meter. Damned uncomfortable car, too. She just picked up a new BMW 335i convertible 6-speed manual last week, and I think we now have a winner for her!

Drool... I SOOOO want an Elise! Colin Chapman was a hero of mine.

Gimme a small, light car any day of the week.

For a year or two a while back I was doing time trials in an old Saab Sonnett III. Stock drivetrain, but it had been gutted and a roll cage fitted to it. The thiing had a small V4 in it (a forklift engine, no kidding), undoubtedly less than 100 hp. But it was super-light and handled like the proverbial go-kart.

It used to drive the guys in the Vipers crazy, because I'd be all over them in the twisties where horsepower doesn't matter all that much.

Just bought this:

2002 Skoda Fabia. Does 40mpg, very cheap to run and I can get all my gear in it!

I would really like a Smokey & The Bandit era Trans-Am, but as gas costs $10 a gallon here, its not going to happen!

I often wonder how Hal Needham's boys modified that Trans Am to actually spin its tires. From what I've read, a 1977 T/A 6.6 did the quarter-mile in something over 17 seconds, slower than a 4-cylinder Honda Accord!
