you are unstoppable and that's good :p

My DD Albert is played at every gig now and I get a lot of positive comments about its shape and sound.

EBMM most weird looking guitar but one of the most comfortable I have tried so far (didn't try the 25th yet)

That blue 25th is absolutely gorgeous. Maybe I could take out a second mortgage or something if it were available ... :p

i visited the SLO factory about 2 weeks ago and was blown away with all the new R&D stuff going on. The new AL models are very promising and I think will appeal toa whole new crowd looking for a functional shape that is different.

Such a talented crew with the ability to pull off whatever they can imagine.

of course i spent most of the time playing the Big Poppa AL. the same one from Summer NAMM. If I'm in the same room with that guitar, it's only a matter of seconds before it ends up in my hands.

it's about time people started diggin these. I had a guy come and check out some guitars and he said it looked ugly, I said here play one and he loved it. Guitarist go figure

Colin, it's because most people resist change. Open minded people are very open to change. I was at GC today and as I was walking out I saw this funky looking guitar, it turned out to be a Danelectro, very AL'ish in my opinion. I picked it up checked it and thought, pretty different and kind of cool.

Just my little take on it. :)

Almost every guitarist that sees me play my AL's comments how ugly it is, but they love it when they play it every time!!!!!!!!

Rob, same here man. I bring guitars to work to try to get some lunch time practicing in and people say the same thing until they try it out.

I don't understand the sentiments on the "ugly" AL. I really don't. I think maybe we've been bombarded so much with marketing that anything with a Single Coil is supposed to look like a Strat or a Tele.

I have no idea, but from an objective perspective the AL looks great. The beveled arm contour, the angled horns, the symmetry of the wood, its all very ergonomic and functional. I don't understand the AL hate. Ah wells.

But the HH AL does look wonderful! A bunch of younger ones playing ALs! Maybe get a bunch of em to look up Albert Lee's music too. :D

I always thought AL's used to look odd - but when i got my first one - everything of a traditional nature went out the window - and I've never looked back - I still like the feel of a strat, but AL's win hands down everytime -t he fact there's one coming with HB's - just makes them attractive to another bunch of people.

Let's not forget that the AL not only plays and sounds absolutely awesome (especially MM90s) but...
...it totally rocks and is one of the coolest and most unique looking guitars on the planet. Period.:)
