A fair question peter,
No ill will was ever intended. My intention was enthusiasm and trying to relate that I too am jealous of such a nice guitar. I've gone back and edited my original post. Again thanks for pointing that out and asking.

There's the on ramp. Let's get back on the freeway.
This the first time I have really gotton a good look at koa as a top wood. I really like the dark streaks in the grain. The flame that's going on there, is that an anomolly that happens like flame in maple or does it naturally occour in koa? Either way, I think the top on that guitar is fantastic.
This is also the first time I have seen one of the solid rosewood necks on a silo. NorMally I wouldn't think that would work but the combination of koa and rosewood seems to go together like DG and White Ice, CBP and Abalone, Black and Black, White (the most underrated color) and anything.
I just went and looked at the pictures again and all I can think is:
That just clicks
Since it is listed as a 20th anniv SiLO I'm gonna guess it also has the alder back and the MaHog block.

Man Dargin the neck and the whole guitar is just beautiful! I love Koa , my favorite.
Always looking for Koa Acoustics.
The only thing which is not my taste are the PUP mounting rings, I´m sorry, but please tell us about how the sound is different to the regular 20th guitar.

Seeing as I adore the solid rosewood neck I really and I mean REALLY need to know if that will become available commercially.

I am currently considering a 2006 LE AL (with MM90s as per BP's recommendation), a Dargie Delight of some description and I still need to decide on a 20th Silo in time for Dallas - I'd drop all those in favour of this one in a heartbeat.

Dave

P.S. Great work again Dargin

Very rare Nick and not cheap but very good sounding for tops, that´s why I asked Dargin about the sound.

We are booth looking forward to see you my friend. I got the information of this thread by our French MM endorsee Tristan Klein, who is a great MM fan.
This guitar reminds me of the old Travis Bean, in better.... very very nice.

Ohh Man,

That's an awesome looking guitar. Great job guys.

I'm totally out of the loop on this one. Is this a one-off silo or is it going into production?

Thanks,
Scott

Koa top, alder body, mahog block, & full rosewood neck. I haven't had a chance to plg it in yet as I was scramblin to get Dargie Delight info, orders processed, and other stuff done. When I get backto SLO I will post a report. Koa is hard to get and pretty expensive...although not oo hard to get if you know the right people : )
