BP, what Mexican restaurant is your favorite here in the desert, one of the Los Casuelas restaurants or something else?

Spud, no problem there... You like what you like. Hey, the DD's are for some people, others it does nothing for.

Now I love this bastard child of the 20th Silo. Scott you've gotta stop the madness!!! I have the 20th coming but this thing is just too much. And for me it's the rosewood neck as much or more than the Koa. I love the top, but the neck just blows me away.

Must be something about the desert air fueling the creative process.

I swear I've never seen a company that comes up with so many cool ideas.

Sorry, i'm just wiping the drool off my chin. I'm not crazy about the Silhouette body shape (it just doesn't look right without the bevels to me) but those are some stunning wood selections!

spud---sorry to hear bout your recent adventure--but I'm with ya on this one--I love Koa but it doesnt look right on this plank, horses for courses,----I usually like a contrast when using different woods----if the back was lighter maybe,or a maple neck-----but I bet it sounds and feels wonderful and unique!!!!! I certainly wouldn't kick it out of bed for eating crackers.

Thanks BP, I'll have to try your recommendation. If memory serves me correctly I went there roughly 9 years ago after a conference and we ate outdoors. From what I remember it was great.....if it's the same place I'm wondering why I haven't frequented it more often....maybe too out of the way, I don't know. I will try it now. Thanks again.

Yeah I know BP, I'm sure it looks stunning, but I'm in the minority here who doesn't like that kinda look on a guitar. I'm more "Old School" - shoot when I bought my Les Paul from Orange, London back in '73 they had a Tobacco burst and black in stock.
I hated the burst and went for black - I preferred the simpler option at the time.

I guess I've mellowed a bit, after all I went for a burst AL !!

But that kind of finish (for me, imo,) doesn't make me want to buy one but I do appreciate the finish achieved.

Damn it I just traded in my 20" Sony Trinitron monitor and know I only have a 15 " Murphy !!! ;)

BP----I guess I'm just biased because my 20th anniversary Silo is due to arrive in several hours-------I think its the most beautiful piece I've ever seen--already got to check it out in the flesh and the top is perfection----and it was christened by Tommyindelaware!!!!!!!!

are you saying that Paul will be happy because you know of this specific 20th his getting or are you just saying he will be happy with 20th in general???
