Hmmm...I'm wondering as well now. Pete took my order for a DD Luke with non-matching headstock on Thurs. Just to be safe, I sent him a note letting him know he can upgrade it if he needs to...
Now you've got me wondering as well - my DD order was for a Petrucci JP6 with piezo and non-matching headstock. I hope some of the 7 existing orders for this combo were already non-matching
If not, I'd take it with a matching headstock but what happens with my order? Strings and Things in the UK have my order through GAK but it's a bank holiday here in the UK on Monday (most businesses including S&T are closed).
Well, I've got a F@nder P-bass at the house. Technically, it belongs to my brother.. although I've had it at my house for many years now. Anyway, I thought if I bought my own bass he could have it back and do what he will with it. It can't be worth much because he had a Kahler tremolo installed in it, and he swapped the pickups to duncan active EQ pickups (which do sound good). I have all the original parts in a bag, but I think the Kahler required routing or something.
Anyway, I need a bass around for recording purposes. I bought a nice Roland synth earlier this year, and I have a decent sounding drum machine. I can play all of them as well as I need to for making song demos.
I just have to decide if I will like the painted neck of a Bongo. That Sterling with the DD package was just so nice looking!
Yah the Bongo would look cool with a natural headstock, in my opinion. I'd go for the Sterling, MBGreene once said to me that the Sterling seemed like it was the guitarists bass. The neck profile and what not and I have to agree with him.
Yeah that's the puppy, how did it play??? - talk about something new..... that'll be my next ball - all I need to do is nag the F*@K out of BP until he threatens to kill me or gives in..... my evil plan continues.....
