This has to be a drummer who posted this...funny stuff though, the "PEZ" style neck man, that mad me drop my beer laughing. Keep up the good work...:D

However....I would really like EBMM to make a silhouette normal production model WITHOUT a pickguard, and JUST 3 single coils. 24 fret, single coils no pickguard Silo, that would be perfect. And...maybe a new bass that did not have to have a pickguard on it, with a body style similiar to the JP sig. With a slightly smaller headstock. And a cigarette holder on ALL EBMM guitars and basses like a REAL pro should have!

You won't be needing it in the UK where smoking in indoor public places is banned.....and some pros look after their voices & lungs!Silhouette without a pickguard....heresy!

Blasphemy...however I have noticed a trend with the "youth", that the male's in the local bands out here have taken to shaving thier arms and legs...a bit weird, guess it's the new in thing or whatever but dude, how many 25 year old guys have no hair on thier legs? Be a man you p*****s!!!!! Seeing a guy up on stage playing and he has no hair on his arms...just aint natural man!!!! Where Kip Winger!!!! :D

Well then I guess the UK has no bars, also California, New York etc etc. I've never smoked so don't qualify as a rock star.
Some time try playing a heavy smoking venue, then take your guitar & leads out the next day & smell them. (probably won't work if you're a smoker). That stench is also coating your throat. I guess most guitarists take care of their fingers & nails....so why not the throat, lots of us need to sing.
Now if you want to put something REALLY useful on a guitar, why not a built-in tuner?

Think they have the built in tuner thing licked...some companies offer it on thier guitars. I think a compartment to store things such as guitar picks, cigarettes, etc. in the guitar would be a useful addition.

Perhaps, but I have yet to see one that works as well as a good pedal tuner and I wish those that I have seen had a mute function on it. I'd like to see EB add to their volume and wah pedal lines with a really good, accurate tuner that doesn't use batteries when not tuning, is quiet when powered from an adaptor and when switching on & off, has a bright, easy to read display, and has a sub $100 list price. Fender came close but couldn't take care of the noise issues, which is why I don't use them. An EB tuner would just be soo much cooler too.

I was pondering the same thing but I was wondering some things. If most guitar thieves are simply opportunistic and wouldn't know or care about a chip, would it really reduce the number of thefts? Would the idea only be worth it if all the people who might come into contact with the guitar have a chip reader too? Guitar stores and police for one, but what about all the other second-hand dealers or pawn shops? Should it be an industry-wide system to be useful? What about updating a database when a guitar legitimately changes hands? How much would it all cost for the idea to really work out?

I would hope that by the time this idea comes to fruition (or perhaps there already is), some type of company that has a headquartered software system that records the GPS locations and keeps track of them, and communicates with the customers on an as-needed basis, kind of like OnStar for vehicles in the US.

To get even geekier with this concept, at some point the software headquarter would be linked to the EB communication database -- if your guitar took a beating or something was wrong with the electronics, your OnStar Guitar system would beam the problem back to the factory. Then Jon in repairs could download the diagnostic electronically and advise a repair. Or.... if you ended up dropping your guitar or bass, 5 minutes later you get a phone call from EB/MM customer service .. "Hi, this is Music Man. We detect that you've just dropped your bass. Would you like to get a new body on order for it now? A replacement is $300.00."

tee hee!

I want an EBMM Silo Spec with a 22LR rifle barrel built into the neck.........so I can hunt some rabbit on the way home from a gig...

Also, it would be nice to have an EBMM guitar with a built in MP3 recorder with 50 gig of memory... to record while playing...then transfer to puter later.

And lastly.... how bout a removable swigger flask.... [or whatever you call them] so you can fill it with your favorit Scotch....it'll always be there when the van breaks down on the road...

How about a guitar that detects the redheads in the audience and subliminally tells them that my playing doesn't suck.

My brother's a redhead. Want me to put in a good word? He likes Star Wars...

A "notes hit" gauge like the mileage gauge in a car would be sweet... if you could hook it up to the pickups so that every time it picked something up the gauge would increase by one... that'd be sweet.

I think the option of black, chrome or gold hardware would be super sweet too.
