Oh there is a lovely bass version of 'Just the two of us' hiding at the end of the Philadelphia Experiment CD.....Christian McBride I seem to remember. Lovely fretless lines

It seems like Elton John always uses great fretless players. Kenny Passarelli is one of my favorites who has recorded some good stuff with Joe Walsh as well.

I must apologize to those who are really anal when it comes down to forum etiquette. I mentioned a song that was done on a double when (I guess) I should have started a new thread.

That wasn't Pino. Nikita's bassline was played by Deon Estus (the guy who played with British pop band - Wham). Pino did play on Elton John's song "The One" though.

I know some folk have already mentioned Pino's stuff with Paul Young (e.g Wherever I Lay My Hat, Everytime You Go Away, etc). I always loved the bassline from No Parlez, and the line he provided for Gary Numan's "Music For Chameleons". How about Phil Collins' "Do You Remember?" - such a simple line, but sounds great.

Most of the songs on the Lightbulb Sun album by Porcupine Tree, especially "Lightbulb Sun," "Last Chance to Evacuate Planet Earth Before it is Recycled," and "Hatesong."

That album kicks ass.
