First of all ScoobySteve, your avatar looks like House MD is playing guitar. Who is it supposed to be? I think that every time I see it!

Second, it sounds like this thread is still carrying quite the head of steam on it. I'm glad that there is such an interest in the guitar. This is going to be the most expensive year for me that I think I've ever encountered.

With the new Dr. Z amp (and a 2x12 of course) and the Silhouette Special that I got, and then getting two JPs (debating a BFR now) I am going to incur ten grand worth of debt. This is ridiculous, but worth every penny.

If BP reads this, are you going to be going to NAMM? I am getting the owner of the guitar store I work at to bring down a little sumpin sumpin for you and Beth. Y'all been really good to me, so I am going to be good in return. Let me know!

Is that what your mom told you, Scott?

You ACTUALLY have thick skin because you're a FREAK.

Hahahahaha.

Hahahahaha.

I was referring to neglect from guitar companies and abuse from the right handed majority.

My mommy says I'm perfect in everyway. Except for all the tattoos.

I don't want to hear any mom jokes. Some things are sacred.

Bfr! Bfr! Bfr!

Well I will be the first lefty to publicly announce the hopefull ordering of a Jp7 Black Burst , since I first saw that finish my jaw has stayed dropped, I want my JP7 to be the BFR cause I want my JP6 to be a work horse and I would be wayyy to aprehensive to gig with a BFR all the time. And if I am going to pay the extra money might as well get an extra string  I know I am going to compensate that a bit by making the Jp6 as simple as can be, No inlay, no matching headstock. But I have another 4 months of constantly debating the color. Rad Red...Medallion Gold...Rolls Burgandy...White....ahhhh

Wow. I can't believe how much grief these threads are causing. I think that a lot of you right handed people are missing what this actually means.

To put it in perspective, I'll use one of our down under friends.

To us, this announcement is like announcing to the world that the BFR AL is available but then telling Robelinda that he can't have one. Then, Robelinda gets to go through the same sort of strains us lefties have been through.

1) Anger. Why can't I have one?
2) Resentment. What the hell makes everyone else so special?
3) Depression. This is really sucky news.
4) Resignation. Well, it is what it is. Oh well.

Spread those four emotions over a good couple of years, and then all of a sudden tell him that he can have one. That's a fair assessment of what it's been like for us.

None of you right handers know what we go through. I've pissed away tens of thousands of dollars having to buy guitars, generally sight unseen, because the chances of another left handed version coming around are so slim. Hell, I've even tried buying right handed and stringing it upside down or learning right handed. I simply couldn't do it! How many of you right handers have ever had to go through that? Have any of you bought a guitar as a substitution because the one you wanted wasn't available to you?

Of course you haven't. There's 97% selection for you in the world, and only 3% for us. We left handers suffer through all of the rigors knowing that we can't have it, it's not made for us, the demand isn't big enough. Rejection is a bloody tough thing, yet we all grin and bear. We just bite our lips and keep on truckin'.

Almost every single one of these threads in this forum are right handed oriented. If any of you remember, I would give Scott (leftyguitarblue) flack for bringing up the left handed JP6 because it simply wasn't going to happen. It was like beating a dead horse. There are thousands of pointless threads about some little club that's being started, or how somebody is really excited about getting their limited edition guitar. How come no one ever complains about that? It's a really easy answer. This forum is about Music Man guitars. It's for all, ALL of us to talk about them and get excited for them and start pointless little clubs and to have a laugh together. It's easy for some of you to lose sight of all of this and take what is given to you for granted, because you're in the majority.

Through sheer kindness and maybe a little sympathy Sterling gave us the one thing he could that he knew would make us the happiest people on Earth. Instead of bitching about "oh great, another left handed thread" how about you all step back for a moment and think "this is a way to make BP and crew a little more money and get the Ernie Ball Music Man guitars into more hands" and be happy with us. It doesn't matter if it's left handed or right handed. It's about getting the best goddamned guitars in the world to as many players as possible... weekend warriors or world renowned rockstars.

Don't be rude. Give us our little bit of joy back and stop trying to piss on our parade. We ask precious little of you guys, and this is it: just let us have our fun.

Yup. The right handed version is just a tick under three thousand and I imagine that the left handed version will have the standard upcharge. You're probably looking at thirty five hundred bucks? Somewhere near there, anyways.

The standard upcharge isn't 600 bucks. More like 250...I am expecting a bit more than that though.
