Sorry BP I didn't know what I wanted to do with this situation. I wanted to get some feedback from some fellow knuckleheads. I didn't mean to start any trouble.
larry this thread pisses me off. How many times can I ask that the your dealer is first then customer service and then publically on the forum. Decide what you want to do and we will take care of you.
I've already scratched my DD SR5 because the sucker gets played.
Guess what. It's gonna get even more.
+1If Larry called CS on the finish issue, he'd likely be told to send it in for inspection. Chances are he wouldn't receive subjective answers/opinions on whether he should or shouldn't have it fixed. I can't picture Dan or one of the other CS reps getting involved with should he have it fixed or just live with it. CS simply says, send it to us and we'll have a look. That's pretty standard. What Larry's looking for are the subjective opinions of other players. I'm sure he knows EB will take care of it if he sends it in. That wasn't his question.
I don't think anyone's gonna care about the common little finish crack.
Actually, it does. When I sold my JP recently, that was the main question that I got asked. Mine didn't have them, but I have a feeling it would have hurt the resale value.

How can you tell for sure whether a crack is just in the finish or in the wood itself?
