Why did you pay full retail for a damaged bass that had dead spots in the first place?

Hey RicPlayer, don't take it personal as we don't or let me add I don't, But my whole point and Please I do understand Not everyone drives a Lexus, but we're just Musicman Nuts, I have owned almost every bass on the market at lease once and l'll be damned but these Ernie Ball Stingrays work in every application I've ever needed,

Not saying that what I favor you should too, But lets Face it, One on One, Do they smoke Crack at the Ric factory, Their necks on those Basses feel like Oars.

First, I did not contradict myself. The "end cap" was already opened on the shipping box. I should of made it clearer to you. I was standing there when the bass was slid out of the box, and I played it for a bit. I had not experienced these problems before with a m/m, thats why I bought it. It was my fault for not examining it better before the purchase.

Second, I sent you Private Messages to show you respect, as not to berate you like you have done to me on this forum. With all due respect, a $400,000 Ferarri has some flaws...but not your basses?

I'll bet my left vas deferens that no EBMM bass has ever left the factory with a chip in the paint while the Ball family was in charge. Not with the level of seriousness with which they take quality control.

Hi Ric,

The box had been opened before you saw the instrument, so it is entirely possible that the instrument had been damaged after we closed the box up and shipped it and before you opened up the case. Please do not post accusatory and taunting threads on our forum before you have examined all possibilities of what may have happened to the instrument.

I think everyone gets a little touchy around the holidays. There's nothin wrong with comparing your instruments, and there also isn't anything wrong with asking us about our finishing process. We're all hanging around in customer service waiting for questions to come in like these and we're always happy to answer them. If you are unclear on something, please come to us before posting negative and taunting threads on a company-sponsored site, that's all.

Your right there is nothing wrong with Comparing Ernie Ball Music Man basses to everyone Else, Cause now everyone else with Have to come up to EB's Standard of Quality.

I don't see the need to insult the workers at another manufacturer. Look how you have defended your M/M personel here and then you turn around and insult other workers? Since you brought up necks..the two are different...IMO, the RIC is spaced closer in width of the strings, has a narrower neck and is a faster neck. It is not an easy bass to play for slap as is the M/M. The M/M has a glorious low end, and a "clicky" sound when using a pick that I like.

I must agree with Beth on this subject. I really don't see a problem with comparing instruments, even occasionally on the forum. An EBMM bass will compare favorably with just about any bass out there. We should all be very proud of that fact, and not hide behind it.

I bought a Ric in '73 and gigged it for years. It's a decent bass, although the bridge is crap. But it has one sound. It sounds like Chris Squire and Getty Lee. That's pretty much it.

Now compare a Ric to a EBMM bass, and there IS no comparison. The finish, attention to detail, hardware, sound – any EBMM bass is a better bass all around. Not only that, but the new basses are even better.

I happen to own a few basses that are not MM. I don't usually discuss the merits or failings of these basses here on this site. That's what the dudepit or talkbass or some other bass message boards are for. I love MM basses and I am also acquainted with BP and we respect the fact that EBMM pays for this space for us to meet and discuss matters involving MM products.

Anything Is Possible for as we are all Humans, Just like the Ric Factory I just found out from an Ric Endorsey friend of mine that Ric Had Hired a full crew from Mrs. Fields Cookie Factory to do their sanding so they just weren't expirienced when it came to shaping necks.

I don't really defend Music Man Basses at all, I can buy any Bass I want and all of them, but after having so many, for me the Ernie Ball Music Man Basses Just are Simply the very best in Basses made, Not all of them feel great too me thank God or I'd try and Buy the Factory.

But next to Playing Old fenders they are the only bass I've ever found that feels like it was made for your hand.
