its cool...funny thing is that there are two similar unveilings at the show...imagine that

It isnt going to be ready for prime time for a few months....

I'm deployed for a few months. I got time

Once again, EBMM is helping bottom dwellers break from the 50s.

BP!! Very smart move by the way, and congratulations, when you say 2 similar unveilings at the show, do you mean 2 unveilings from EBMM or that 2 other competitiors have unveiled a similar concept / proto?

If you recall this is exactly what I once wrote to you, that in my views you and EBMM are avant-guard innovators, well done to the whole Ernie Ball team on this one.

I must admit it took me a while to get my head around what was going on here but now I get it I have to say this is pretty amazing - the fact that it isn't digital even more so. And I love my iPhone almost as much as my basses so combining the functions of the two is just awesome.

Well done Sterling and everyone at EBMM. So there could be a website with favourite settings to download, like a mini bassApps store?

With this coming up, the DDII, Big Al and all the Bongo's I MUST HAVE DAMMIT it looks like it's a permanent trip to Mortgages'R'Us for old GreyDaddy

Edit: one thing I don't grasp yet - is this something that can go only into new basses or is it at all possible to retrofit the electronics into existing models?

How many minutes will it take Ed to review this one???:D

Word.

Seriously, I'm still recovering from my month of Big Al and the 25th!

Well, sounds very interesting. Does this switch allow you to store eq with the presets, or is it only for coil combinations?

Wazoo I dont read letters that you write sorry. If I dont want to be PM'md why would I want a pen pal

There are two companies that unvieled a similar concept and everyone is nervous...the lawyers might ruin this one for all....

Ed this is the tip....THe problem with limiting the level or eq is that it gets the signal into the digital side which we dont want.

One thing you will find is that there are some not great stuff in your guitar or bass but THere are some amazing sounds that never see the light.

BP - with two other unveilings - are they different - the result of independent thought/R&D or are they so close to yours that "industrial espionage" might be the case?

THere is no industrial espinoge just some ssmart people understanding the potential of some of the new generation chips.

Please dont hold off on buying something as this punishes us for showing you what MIGHT be the future YOu will have plenty of time to get tready for this

Not trying to punish, just buying great instruments on a college student budget. I'm going to have enough saved next month for a deposit on something. I guess I will just make that order (because I'm getting antsy, anxious, and a little impatient with myself) and see what comes down the road later on.

But still, excellent job good sir!

You can always retro-fit it into your new bass!

Hopefully this idea will not get hung up in litigation, the only people that win are the lawyers.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing what this thing can do.

woa...

I just read this.

Interesting concept.

A greater palette to chose from is certainly fun to have.

Lets face it: A lot of bassist's just need one or two decent sounds a night.

But your favourite might be just one of those "hidden" ones you've never heard before...

Keep up the good work!
