When I discovered this guys music I was floored. When I saw that it one person doing EVERYTHING I was in shock. Literally, It's insane the level of playability he's achieved on all levels. Including vocals.

Theres clearly a JP7 in the video... But, I get what you're saying.

Bonus video:
(Start at 2m42s)
Quite possibly the tastiest riffs/solo of all time infused with an epic Sax solo. His dad is such a cool cat.

Nice find Devin of an extremely talented musician, I watched all three videos and the first and third were the ones that I really dug. I love Harmonic Minor and Phrygian Dominant scales and riffs and he uses them in a very tasteful way. To be honest I thought he was singing in Hebrew until (cerebrix) posted that it was Russian lol. After the first video I thought "to bad he doesn't speak English) and the watched the second video. I disagree on him shelving singing in English as I would of loved to have heard the first and third songs in English. I just felt the second song was the weakest out of the three, also he probably originally wrote it in Russian and a lot of times songs translated to English don't flow or sound a bit choppy when translated. But but no doubt a very talented guy who gets a thumbs up from me.

No, it's Hebrew.

I'm a huge fan of the guy as well. I too prefer his solo stuff, he's an all-around talent.

Would love to hear another solo disc in the vein of the heavier stuff.

ODID,

Thanks for the tip - just checked him out while eating lunch at my desk - GREAT musician.

I remember when I was a kid and being the best (bass) guitarist in my little one horse town and thinking I was really good - now with the world at our fingertips it's amazing how many great players there are.

Glad to hear he has an EBMM endorsement.

I'm glad you guys enjoy him as well. I'm hoping enough of us will throw our money at him that he'll release a second solo album.

It's cool, well done, but I wouldn't call it original... it instantly reminded of Dream Theater's Octavarium.

Dream Theater is one of his most influential bands and he's also done side projects with Jordan Rudess so I can see why he would sound similar to Dream Theater. Thats only a good thing if you ask me.

Theres not enough thoughtful music out there these days.

Well I did a little research and Jakubovic has been recording and producing original material as well as others since age 11! I am not that familiar with DT but a good call by "Rachmaninoff" as DT"s keyboard player (Jordan Rudess) played on his solo album in 05 so there's a connection. He has also played with a lot of heavyweights and has a studio here in NYC.I think everyone loves to solo over a good ballad and I get the feeling I know what Devin has been up to late at night with this video. Only a Prog influenced child prodigy would pick a key like G#to write it in though lol.I really like his soloing and note approach so thanks for the turn on Devin.

Where did you find out all that information?! I've talked to the guy via Facebook and obtained less information! haha

He really is something else and I honestly can't stop listening to him.
