I've purchased new StingRay 4-string several months ago and I also have a StingRay fiver.
As you know, StingRay fiver is very quiet with no ground noise or something.
but My new stingray 4-string is too noisy to boos the volume and treble.
so, I ordered Seymour Duncan SMB-4A(alnico magnet) but I think it's not enough.
Should I replace the preamp? If I should, which one is good to my bass.
How about you?
your StingRays are also noisy like my one?
EMG / Duncan / Bartolini - and so on. please give me your advice.
Happy new year
