oltimers cure for hockey arrogance

:D
He's WAY too cocky. Every time I've seen him, he's just shown A LOT of arrogance.

I'm not going to deny his talent. He's a great player. Wrong attitude though.

Hey, guys, I'm out of the loop here, but just to crASH IN SUDDENLY, WITH apologies ... years ago there used to be a cure for a younger player's cocky attitude ... Gordie Howe carried 2 of them around on his arms and he was the best of all with "Elbow justice" ... meanwhile, he could skate, stickhandle, pass , shoot and score like none other:)
just a "blast from the past" and you had to see it in motion to really dig it:)
all the bass,

Los Angeles Kings all the way baby!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats right, I grew up in Anaheim but the Kings were the only game in town. So now I want the Kings to win every game and the Ducks to win every game except when they play the Kings. This season has been hard to watch but it is still the greatest sport.

Interesting stuff happening in the NHL these days...
Ottawa in a big slump. :(
Pittsburgh "winning" the Hossa sweepstakes (although Atlanta did pretty good on that deal) and now he's injured in his first game.
Montreal making no acquisitions, but sending their No. 1 goalie to Washington for a draft pick. Now we have 20 year old rookie No. 1.
Dallas beefing up with Brad Richards.
Colorado getting Forsberg.

It should be an interesting playoffs this year.

Colorado getting Forsberg.

That was unbelieveable. The shocker of the trade deadline if you ask me. All the reports were out that he wasn't ready to come back, then this deal comes out of nowhere.

It actually had everyone here in Nashville a little peeved. We had him as a rent-a-player last year to try and make a run in the playoffs, and had hoped he'd come back here when he was ready.

Oh well. Such is hockey. I'll be happy if the Preds make it to the playoffs, but I wouldn't expect much from them. I don't think the lineup is good. Not enough strong offensive players, and the goaltending is hit and miss. Mason and Ellis are great when they have a good night, but it's everybody's goal when it's an off night.

One thing I have to say is that since they introduced the salary cap, it's a much more level playing field. The Eastern Conference title is up for grabs and making the playoffs will come down to the last game. It makes it quite exciting as there are no real favorites anymore.

After yesterday's game, I think Ottawa will be back on track. Montreal is looking really strong too. You just get this feeling of confidence when they are on the attack that you know they are dangerous at all times.

Well, I don't know if the sharks can pull it out but it definitely isn't a sweep. :D

Sorry. I don't like the Stars. My ex's favorite team and well, let's just say that was a bitter ending.

I dont like the stars because they used to be the MINNESOTA NORTH STARS!!!
