First off thanks for your passion.

Secondly realize that there are not enough to go around. Period. WE just dont make enough, therefore we have to pick our spots and select dealers that will really work with us. History has told the industry since day one that if a dealer doesnt have an investment they wont support you. IF we did what you want Ali we would have never sold a guitar. It would be stingrays in black and natural only.

When you take on a line you make a commitment ot represent it. We have the smallest requirement in the industry and if a dealer doesnt believe in us enough then I would rather the scarce inventory go to a dealer that is promoting and supporting us.

I went to my a local guitar store that is an EBMM dealer. I was looking at a Silo Spec, and commented on the build quality of the instrument. The sales guy said the most unexpected thing. He recommended me to buy an American something something Strat, as it is an American made guitar, PLUS it has the big name on it. And all along I did not said anything on the price. I told the salesman that it isn't the question of price, and kinda explained a little history behind EBMM. I was disgusted by the recommendations though. Some serious WTF-ness there, I always tend to avoid visiting that store.

Like I have said before being in the US we are lucky, I have lots of options to purchase MM guitars, but the one option that gives me the best customer service is the one I found on this website, call me a suck azz if you would like but Pete and Nick just rule for there ability to provide me with what I need:D

This is so true, if the dealers where as passionate as the members here...

I'm late to this thread, but I'm very fortunate to be 20 minutes from Indoor Storm in Raleigh, NC. I bought my 20th Anniversary Silo and my Luke there, and I would not have bought either guitar if I hadn't just pulled it off the wall and started playing.

I also ordered an ASS and an AL through Indoor Storm. Eddie Berman has a vast amount of knowledge, and is willing to share any and all of it with you if you ask him. He's also a true gentleman, his word is 100% solid. I've asked his advice on guitar problems that he had nothing to do with, and he tries to help you like it's his fault.

In the "intangibles" category, they also sell some very fine amps, so you can try your future EBMM acquisitions out through some great sounding rigs.

The local Guitar Center has a couple EBMM basses, but no guitars. I don't think I've ever seen an EBMM guitar there, but they have several OLPs.

Rossie Let me guess they didnt hav eth eguitar in stock that you wanted and were t/o ing you to something they had. What was the dealers name?
Well, I wanted a JP, and the price he quoted me is extremely extremely extremely high. Then I looked at the Silo HSS and a gorgeous ASS w/ MM90s, and said I really like the single coil sound, the sales person then said that the F@nd@r Strat can get me the exact same tone, but for much less the price, and it's American too.
Is it ok for posting the name of the dealer in the open here? Or do I PM it to you?

I visited another dealer, and he quoted me a very good price, well 50% less than the previous store. Although I didn't get that particular JP, I ordered an F1 :)
I told the MD of the latter store about the experience I had with the previous one, he said that he had heard bad things about that particular store before (regarding other brands too), and encouraged me to lodge a complaint to you. If you want the full details BP, I could PM it to you. Don't really think it's a nice thing to do this out in an open forum.

Edit: BTW, they do not have any EBMMs in stock currently except for three SUB1s. Then I asked if any new stock of EBMMs are coming in. The sales person answered me a flat "NO". This was around a month ago.

20 pages before I came up on Google? Wow something must have changed since then :D

Not true. I searched "Dubaldo Music" and you Pete was the first hit! :D

On the other hand, when I searched "ernie ball music man dealer connecticut"
I couldn't find him and I went all the way to page 20. :(

Good thing I already know you exist! :D

Make N' Music is the "local" MM dealer around here. Stock is some what decent. The sales people are cool its just a hour plus drive. Plus I'd rather give my business to a knucklehead. Mr. DuBaldo:cool:

Pete, get your html META tags in order, sir! That's a key method to improve your search engine 'hits'. Make sure you get all the right keywords in there that someone looking for an EBMM might type!

Seems as though I split most of my purchases between Pete and GC.

Hard to beat Pete's knowledge. And it seems he's always on top of things as to when your order will be in, if things are delayed, etc.

I also think he's just been brilliant in his marketing and sales plan. Hanging out here and going to EBMM events makes him the choice among so many of us for all the right reasons...including pricing that has always seemed fair (and often more than fair). Must be like shooting fish in a barrel.

But I have also noticed that it seems some more GC's are starting to carry MM. A couple weeks ago I was in the Oxnard store and they had a Luke! Been in there several times in the past 2 years and never saw an mm guitar.

The closest GC to me doesn't stock them, but the manager there (BRIAN) is cool.
Took him to a basketball game in March. Also ordered a BFR from him. And have bought 3 other Lukes and a PRS before Brian was there in the last 4 years.

And getting to meet and hang with some of the management team (including the CEO) from GC in Dallas for Jack's birthday was a real highlight of that trip. I mean, I've been a customer of there's since prolly 1978 just after they opened up a store in the valley a few miles down ventura blvd from beloved valley arts guitar store.

If I buy more gits in the future (I really think I'm done for a while after this batch arrives) I'll buy from either them or Pete.

My local dealer is killer.

My local dealer, Wild West Guitars in Riverside Ca and they are great. They have a great stock of different EBMM guitars and basses; various finishes models etc...Also, they seem to have a steady supply of new guitars and basses arriving on a regular basis. All of their instruments are setup and maintained beautifully.

The guys that work there are totally cool, no pressure whatsoever, and will answer any questions you might have and will work with you to get exactly what you want. They even stayed open after hours so I could run down and buy my Axis that night.

I was really surprised me was the layout of the store, it's different than anything I had seen, or, what I had expected. It's located inside an industrial building and all the instruments and equipment are inside different rooms; I thought it would be like a open shop.

I was equally surprised that they will let you play anything you like considering the all of their guitars, basses and amps are expensive. The first time I went to check it out I was afraid to touch anything. :)

If anyone is ever in this part of California, it's definitely worth checking out. I've spent several of my lunch hours checking stuff out.

I have purchased stuff from GC in San Bernardino, Murrieta and Rancho Cucamonga. I have always been able to get what I needed and never had a bad experience. It can get a little loud inside, my wife will usually wait inside the car. :)

The local Best Buy has a large room containing guitars, basses, amplifiers, pedals, drums etc...Their inventory is actually nicer than some music stores I've been to; I was surprised to an actual Gibson Zakk Wylde LP Custom or any LP at a Best Buy. They also carry some EB products; strings picks etc...
