I did a bunch of google image searches as well as searching this forum and have decided on Sapphire Black with a Black Pearloid pick guard.

I am dizzy...

I am 45...shouldn't I be jaded by now...how can I get so excited about things still...

OK!!! THE DEED IS DONE!!!:D:D:D

I put down the deposit and placed the order this morning. I ordered a 4 string Bongo HH in Sapphire Black with a Black Pearloid pick guard.

Now we wait...

That sounds beautiful, even though it's missing a string. ;)

hehe.. i tried to sneak in 2 basses that looked the same, but one of them was fretless..

one day she looks at the bass and starts stroking the neck.. and then goes.. hey, no metal things on this one?? do you have 2 of it???

so i was busted and had to watch her go out the door on a shopping spree with my mastercard.. :D

morale of the story is: be sure she doesnt check your forum posts in addition to being smart ;)

MrM

That is some kinda funny!!! lol, I can't believe you got busted like that!

Since 2005, there have been three Knucklehead Gatherings. One in San Luis Obispo, one is Coachella and one in Dallas.

With the economy cratering, we've been on hiatus but BP does like parties.

Oh wow, very cool! We had a gathering of some Northeast bass players from Activebass's website. I think it was 5 of us in all....good time.

Hmm, maybe my advice was poor. Definitely listen to these guys who know what they're talking about. I'm not planning on marrying any time soon :D

But I stand by my other comment.

The question is, will she notice a rosewood Stealth? It's probably safer to go for the ebony variant.

He could keep it in a dark closet or room....it'd be invisible! lol

Its missing a string because I am missing some neurons...I am just not smart enough for 5:rolleyes:

I'm 51, I'm definetly missing some. Probably not missing, just no longer working; I fried too many of them when I switched exculsively to 5-string from 4-string 10 years ago.

That makes more sense to me. Either play only 5 string OR 4 string, but mot both. My brain can't handle switching. I tried it once before...didn't work for me.

And having cash saved up that you HAVE to hang onto for stuff that your realy dont want to spend it on ..... yeah its a good thred to remind yourself that your not alone ;)
