Did this forum just pay for a stolen bass?

tk

This forum has offered to pay the $450 that the Pawn shop claims to have purchased it for.

They had that price on ebay they paid 450 dollars for?

There goes my trust in the justice system.

Just let me know how to help. Or where to send some money.

this is a the other big part of the screwed up world we live in.

I can't contribute anything (no Paypal, and no way to get it) but it's nice to see this kind of support for and dedication to JF's cause.

I don't see any other forum doing this, 'cept maybe Alembic.

OK, I'm going to get in touch with the local Vancouver news team that does an "On Your Side' kind of thing where you go to them with sheister deals and they put it on the news and get it sorted for ya!!....ofcourse I'll wait until the bass is en route to JF just to make sure. But I'm pretty sure we can recoup the dough!

good to see the cops involved though, the hour+ on the phone with them yesterday was a lesson in futility almost. I tell ya, I TOTALLY respect and applaud the men and women in uniform but it seems like a chore when you're trying to do the right thing.

anywho..... good excitement to kick out the last days of Summer! :p

Hey, I remembered your post about your stolen bass, in the Vancouver area...
check this one out on e-bay: http://cgi.ebay.ca/Ernie-Ball-Music...oryZ4713QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem (hope the link works...)

It's trans gold, it's in Vancouver, it's cheap, and it seems to be a pawn shop of
some sorts... I would definately check it out.

Good luck,
Benoit

You deserve a huge round of applause(or maybe more!) for finding the bass on ebay and bringing to our attention here. Without you remembering this thread from months ago he would of never seen his bass again!

The Honest Gets Ripped off again

To Pay a Pawn Shop to buy Back a Stolen Bass is Insane, Jean has Proof it is his bass Legally,

The Bass was Stolen, and If the Canadian Police will not do nothing about that, then this is the reason People steal because it's legal.

The attitude is why not steal something we'll never get into trouble, Heck the cops may even help us sell it for a Bag of Pot in exachange.

Man No wonder I left Canada.

my main guitar (90 morse) got stolen once. it was missin for a year & a half.....& i was outta my mind the whole time . then some very cool people downstate spotted it when it was brought into a guitar shop. they rescued it & drove it up to me.this was back in 95 or so. it's a greatfulness that is very hard to put into words.......but i know the feeling well !!!!!
congrads !!!!!

waiting to send my 20.
side note: the guitar was completly unharmed. it had the same strings on it that i put on before it got lifted. 10-42 rps's are easy to id.:D obviously it was taken by someone who didn't play. i disassembled it completely.....buffed the whole thing out. the mojo was still there !!!!!!
