I think its great that this topic has come up I think like a majority of people it has to be a colour that has never been available before .
Maybe in the serial number have FORXXXXX to signify a forum bass.

Could they sell them through their E-bay store?
Like you have to log on using your name and Password so they will be available to forum members world wide.

I hope we can get our good friend jon behind this as well!!! :D

This is crazy... That is to say this is amazing! One of our moderators gets drunk one night, starts talkin', and then a lim. ed. run of MM basses exclusively for forumites starts becoming more tangible as we type! That's awesome. If this bill does go through, I would love to have that purple paisley that Aussie Mark suggested but with a little more colors, like the F*nder pink paisley design.

The banned for life?

It'll never happen... Sorry. Why? Because we'll never be able to agree on the color/options.

If only....... :(

I've seen it happen before. More than once. No reason it won't work, again.

Hell, if we want to be really daring, we could simply let EB/MM pick the color.

From conversations I have had with well-placed sources high within Camp Ernie, anything even remotely resembling this concept would have to be seriously debated amongst The Powers That Be and there would many details to work out...not only about the bass itself but how it gets from SLO into your sweaty little hands.

So everyone take a deep breath. Not saying it won't ever happen, only that my two martini thread, shockingly, doesn't mean that the good people on the factory line immediately rush out to buy new paint and brushes.

Certainly we can feel free to discuss what we'd like if such a thing were to happen, but it would be a mistake to believe this will materialize overnight - or easily.

I think I can say that the same well-placed sources mentioned in paragraph 1 are thinking of ways to amuse the Forum Rats. Don't even bother twisting my arm as I have no details, but they know we're here and appreciate our enthusiasm.

you can't pick a color everyone likes, but just take something that everyone likes. I can imagine there are people who 'd hate a pink bass, but I think everyone could live with something blue (for example), it may not be their favorite color, but it's acceptable.

I'll say, again--I know of two forums that have had "Signature" instruments created, and they each were able to get 24 people to agree on a color. If they can do it, so can we.

Sounds like a plan to me, Host.

In fact, the longer this takes to materialize, the better off I'll be. :D
