I'm just trying to find out what the updated Floyd Rose is all about. Does it make string changes easier? Tuning better? Please tell what the updated Floyd is. Thanks

No guitar sells for the MSRP price, MAP or Street Price is what you are looking for. I believe Glen made it clear these will sell for a little over $100 more than what you would pay for an Axis (except for Sunburst) plus you get the up graded case. I will go on a limb and say that these will fly off the racks awfully fast. I will be up in Philly in November and will be looking forward to meeting both Derek and Glen, as well as grabbing one of these bad boys!

I want to go to the Philly Show too! Can anyone go, or do I need a special pass??

Push-in bar and the pivot posts are what they use on their other trems (think they look nicer). I think it otherwise works the same...

The nut is also changed to where the attachment is from the top side. No through holes.

Thank you ! I wouldn't think you could change much around a licensed product. Also I thought all Music Man guitars were hand rubbed stained? What the heck does that mean? Hand rubbed Stained. They got a machine there that rubbs the rest of the guitars? The updated locking nut sounds great ! I did not know there was a problem with heads snapping off the necks anyways. Other than the updated nut, Prettier Floyd, a nicer case and hand Rubbed ? Finish. It's still an Axis right? I love the Colours ! Some of you talking Retail Price, Sreet Price, blah blah, I would want the prices to go up !! Not comparing to another overpriced Nashville- Mich. Guitar builder who is on a completely different planet in regards to price. But personally MM guitars are priced under market compared to quality of others. My Silo plays better than any Custom shop I`ve touched.

nobody knows

nobody at gc online or two other gc stores knew anything about these nor were they interested in selling one. Played phone tag between associates. One told me they wanted full payment for the item but didnt even know the price or anything about it. Told me it was normal to get full payment and I would have no guarantee of getting the item. So why would I put full down payment??? Reminds me of why I hate guitar center and will never buy this guitar from them. Very unprofessional on the phone...called me bud. I'm a professional salesman and have never called anyone bud in my life. Oh well shame kind of wanted one. Wish ernie ball would stop associating a quality instrument with a sleazy store.

Dear EBMM Corporate...

The formites are stepping up and trying to place orders. G.C. seems to be throwing up roadblocks and changing the terms of their sales from one moment to the next.

It's getting annoying, to say the least. Now they are accepting payment in full only. $1000 down won't get you one.

Too bad, they'd have moved all 130 units by now and would be placing an order for you to build more, if only they would be a little more reasonable about their terms.

I work for an ambulance company. When things aren't going smoothly with a nursing home or wherever, we send our guy in there to smooth things over. That's all this guy does...does EBMM have such a person??? One who could call G.C. Headquarters and explain to them that they should work with their customers to make these sales happen?

Wow, unbelieveable:mad: Really this is turning into a bash GC thread/ price is too much/ what all guitars are not hand rubbed?

F give me a break, first this just was announced not all info has trickled downstream, and well actual retail price wont be the number being thrown out.

Nice little run EBMM is doing and well your getting an early inside scoop be happy you get this info sooner than later and show some fing patience:eek:

It is chit like this that makes me stay away from here, including the "oh I will just buy Sweats at a discount" well you know what I DONT LIKE FLOYDED GUITARS!!!!

Guitar Center is a great chain, and without them instuments would be harder to buy and more expensive, my GC treats me like a king, everyone knows my name and I am rewareded for my loyalty.

So here some scoop for youse guys- call Robbie Gustin GC ND Platinum Room Manager-
972-960-0011 or cell 682-225-0221 he will hook you up and if he does not have info yet he can get ahold of Glen with EBMM quickly to sort it out.

OK Rant over and please just chill, good things come to those that wait:)

I appreciate the scoop, but they are used car salesmen. I wasnt pushy and dont fault them for not knowing about it. It's irresponsible to say we need complete payment with no guarantee of the product. I've avoided them like the plague for 15 years "bud." They just reminded me why today. Again I repeat has nothing to do with them not knowing about the product.

Ok everyone let's please take a breath and settle down. This is not the thread to vent frustrations. This was supposed to be a heads up teaser of a cool new product coming out. Guitar Center carries thousands of sku's and this is something that they don't even have inventory of. I understand some frustration but please be patient with both them and us. We do a lot of special runs and they can't be expected to know every detail about each one the minute it's announced. In a perfect world, sure...but that's not how it is.

Now regarding the deposit situation, we have nothing to do with how GC and their policies work. We sell to them and they sell to you. If they are going to require payment in full on this special fun then they are going to do that.

If anyone calls their GC and the salesman does not know about these, please just have them call us. Let them know the color you are interested in and we will give them all the info that is needed

I will not be in the office tomorrow, but if it's next week my extension is 106 and my name is Aziah (pronounced Asia). Anyone at MM CS can help them tomorrow though and we will get them any and all the information that is needed. Feel free to PM me as well.

No joke, people. Go to page 1 of the thread and look at the pictures. Cheer up. :)

If this isn't allowed, please let me know. Could you guys that ordered one PM me with the price GC took? I'm assuming there isn't a set street price. Please don't post prices here.

Why the attitudes....This is a sneak preview...it is a benefit we try to extend to your loyal die hards. You see them before the Guiatr Center Staff does...Both Derek and Glen have already explained that they arent available at guitar center till late sept at the earliest....Why are you getting madf that they dont know about something that we havent shown them yet?

SHould we stop the sneak peaks?
