Bummed to heard the BFR inlay at the 12th fret is going away, but at the same time I'm happy that the JP12 I snagged still has it so no complaints here I guess! Curious to see what the bolt plate looks like for the BFRs then! Does it just say "custom made" like some of the previous ones did (I know that's what the bolt plate looked like on my JP7 BFR RW, at least) or does it actually say "Ball Family Reserve" now instead? This is what the bolt plate looked like on mine (keep in mind this was from like 2009 or so), but it also had the BFR inlay at the 12th fret, I thought having both looked awesome:

Man, I miss the hell out of that guitar! :( Sold it to put the down payment on my house so I don't regret it, but I still wish I had been able to keep it, that one was incredible!

interesting thread...
I just acquired a Dark Lord that is the only one I've seen (so far...) w/o the "BFR"
*this thread - http://forums.ernieball.com/music-man-guitars/56794-meet-joe.html

And fwiw, the neck plate has no "BFR" either, although it does say "limited Edition", which is cool...

Just thought I'd add this to the discussion fyi...

And if I'm not mistaken, you also have reverse headstock, right ?
You could post the serial on the serial number's thread and ask for all he info on the guitar ! You'll know exactly if it's a LE or BFR... or something else ! (http://forums.ernieball.com/music-m...l-numbers-what-production-date-my-guitar.html)

I think the logo looks great and adds a special something to the appearance.

I didn't like the neck inlay BFR logo myself. But now that it's gone, I'm starting to like it. ... Well played, EBMM. Well played. ;)
