Hey guys !!

I just have a quick question on this 12th fret inlay topic.
I ordered a JP6 BFR Cherry Burst almost 4 months ago (the wait is killing me by the way !!! :D). Do you guys think I'm gonna have the inlay or the neck plate ? (not that it's the most important thing on this guitar but I have to admit I kinda like the "bad-a$$" look of the inlay :p)

Hello Texaco. No, I believe you just missed the cut off by a couple of months, and you will get dots at the 12th fret.

[Edit : Wow.. my brain made me read "inlay" instead of "dots"... Now I'm sad :( ]

The less things scream "look, I'm expensive, my owner is super cool and successful", the better.
Guitar should play well and look good, as BFR sure do.

Sure ! Inlay or neckplate doesn't really matter to me. What matters the most is that it's a wonderful instrument. I just liked the unusual look of the inlay, that's all.
Btw, I'm pretty sure I can live without it :p

All BFR instruments ordered at or after the 2013 January NAMM Show will be shipped with BFR neck plates instead of fretboard inlays.

Did we ever get a reason for the removal or was it just a "We don't want to get into specific details" -kind of thing?

I don't believe we did have (or need) a reason... It's like asking why they put it there in the first place.

I was just asking. No I don't *need* an answer, I was just curious. Isn't that the reason we're all here (with the exception of the EBMM employees)? To talk about EBMM, find out more about the company and its products as well as talk to other people who are using EBMM, sharing insights, experiences and other things?

But of course, if we're not allowed to ask questions about the decision or anything related to EBMM, that's fine.
I apologize.

Yeah, your're right, and that's why I'm here too. And I know I just recently joined the forum but I'm pretty sure you can ask any EBMM-related question you want.

Never owned a BFR but wish I did.. I've seen them and played them and they're amazing! With or without the inlay! Status wise it's great for ppl who "knows what that is" to see and be at aww of it.. But this is just my personal opinion right here "it's prestigious enough for me to play any EBMM or even SBMM instruments." When I see that headstock and feel that neck I know it's greatness and when I start to play "game over" I'm hooked If I'm not at a gig I'll still be there for hours till my hands start cramping! BFR is amazing but so is everything else EBMM does. I once read that the BFR came about for EBMM to have the opportunity to offer up pieces that was only accessible to artist and family etc. to the normal buyer and to me that is already amazing! So who cares where the products series-logo is? I don't lol.. Just as long as I get to play it! :) I don't know if I'm totally off point or off topic in my comment but this is what's on the top of my head.. Aloha

Yes this is for information...tons of information and after how many we have answered that they are gone and wont be coming back...we have aslo said that there were as many customer complaints about it...we actually just wanted to go a different direction

If I sound testy its when the request for information comes off as a demand

Going with a different direction is good. Change is good - at least for the most part.
I don't know what testy means but my request for information was not a demand, did it sound that way?

"Did we ever get a reason for the removal?" doesn't sound like a demand to me and I'm sorry if it sound that way to you, it was not my intention. I will stop asking questions in the future if they sound like demands.
