I love how there aren't artist signature models.

I hate the idea if 'signature basses', and I don't buy them.
I'm so glad EB basses aren't that way.

I guess in a way, all EB basses are signature basses. In fact, the Sterling is a double signature bass.

It IS about John Myung and the Bongo 6 People are going to go nuts when they see that, I know I'll be one, especially after watching it being designed and built. The icing will be seeing Myung playing it in August (or me playing one, but it'll probably be him first) Thanks BP, you're awesome

I definitely noticed the different sound of the Bongo as opposed to the Yamaha when they played in Bonn. Sounded much better, even despite the mixing guys attempts to ruin it all

Yes. Systematic Chaos really is an outstanding album. Usually new Dream Theater records take a while to click with me. The only two that grabbed me instantly was Scenes from a Memory and now SC.

I can't wait to see them in LA next month. I am actually taking my 12 year old daughter who is a big fan as well.

While I don't like the album very much, the bass tone has improved a tonne (metric). It could still be a bit louder in the mix. And remember, on DT's first record, Myung used a Stingray 4 (although heavily modified).

Well... from that distance and video quality, you really can't tell if it's a 6 or not. I know he's been playing a silver 5'ver lately. Hmm... maybe he hasn't put the 6'er though the paces yet.
