Well that's a major disappointment. I was looking forward to my first Toto concert but maybe some other time. Are they cancelling any other concerts before or after the Indio one? At least we'll hopefully see Luke playing w/ BBAS. Hope whoever is sick gets well.

Press Release from TOTO — Last update: Fri, Sep 14, 2007

Dear Friends and Fans,

It is with great sadness that we must reluctantly inform all of you that Toto’s September 27th show at The Indio Municipal Golf Course has been cancelled due to the illness of Simon Phillips, our drummer. We thoroughly apologize for the inconvenience to the promoter and the fans, as doctors have ordered him to be hospitalized for possibly several weeks. Optimistically, we are looking forward to a speedy recovery for Simon, with another Toto play date to be announced in the near future. Thank you for your understanding and patience with regard to this recent health concern.
All of your kind thoughts are most appreciated.

Our humble appolgies

Guys, I am sorry to say that our drummer Simon Phillips has been hospitalized for at least the next 10 days or more. He has a chronic illness that can take him down hard and it has. You can never see it coming and he has been well for the last 2 years.. It has flared up bad and he is down, so unfortunatly we must cancell the Toto gig the 27th of sept. A bummer as we were all looking forward to it, but sometimes sh*t happens and we didnt see this coming. A formal press release is on www.Toto99.com

In any event, I will be at all the events as planned and playin with Biff baby's and hangin with y'all. I will be a new daddy by then but the wife has already given me a weekend pass. She understands my life. haha

Once again, VERY sorry but Biff and co. will keep the fun level at high alert.
See ya there

Hope Simon pulls through okay and goes into remission indefinately. My family has had their share of chronic illnesses and even though I don't know the specific's on Simon's situation, I can sympathize w/ what he's dealing with. Wish you all the best Simon and I'll catch Toto at another gig.

Look forward to hanging w/ you Lucious---glad you have some R and R leave Ha Ha.

Party at BP's house!!! j/k

Even though I live here I don't know of any hotspots for a Thursday evening. A few places have a kareokee thing, or we can just go to a restaurant. Is that what you're referring to Colin?

No apologies necessary, Luke. A person's health must be foremost.
Please forward good wishes and speedy recovery for Simon.
Looking forward to meeting you at the desert bash. And, again, congrats to you and family on the upcoming birth of your protege. :D

All that really matters in this is Simon's health. Best wishes to Simon.

As for those of us who are going to be there on Thursday, let's plan some kind of hang, even if it's just the hotel bar. :D

That's a long time to be hospitalized. Even bypass surgery patients are often kicked out in 4 days now. How anyone in a hospital gets any rest with all the beeping, footsteps, and talking beats the hell out of me.

Feel better Simon.
