This is about playing with each other. Learn some Elvis, some Beatles, some Stones, something with three chords in 4/4. BP and Tommy and John and I played some Elvis at the Open House with BP's brother on vocals - why not? How hard can "Blue Suede Shoes" be? (I'm not entirely sure that's what it was, but Elvis is Elvis.)

We have a world-class drummer, all the bassists you could ever want and an opportunity to impress the living beejeezus out of the staff at the BBQ joint.

Bunch of damned guitarists, ain'tcha?

Think I'll just grab the most improv-friendly bassist and make something upa s we go along with Mr. Ferraro. :)
 
Awww...I am so jealous. I want to go so bad, but funds arn't allowing. If it's anything like the Open House...you all are in for the time of your life. I want to see lots of pictures and hear lots of stories. Azzy...I will be in the corner crying with you.
 
OK so its Norm (or however you spell it), Tommy, Tiffles and I for Give Me One Reason. Tiffles, you're gonna play bass and sing! Tommy and Norm battle it out on the 6-stringers -- Norm, are you bringing your Silo bass guitar?
 
I've never been to the United States before so I'm getting quite excited.

Anyone got any tips on Stateside etiquette?

BTW I could do "Play That Funky Music White Boy", but I can't sing.

I guess us girls will have to hold down the forum while everyone is gone....hopefully they will find time to give us a daily briefing. ;)
 
I'll probably be leaving Austin around 10:00am Friday morning. Should put me in Dallas around 1:00pm. If anyone is getting together a little early let me know. I'm super excited about this!
 
Leaving PHX in the morn 11/3, prolly have a stop in el paso, then on to DFW.

I'm not buying your ticket, if that's what you're getting at. ;)
