I've wondered about the Biffster all day. Hardly a day goes by when I am not hassled by the Maestro. Does he work or something?

Luscious, if the martinis are good, never apologize - that's my outlook.

We have a few girls over on the bass forum - didn't I tell you that it was the hippest forum?

I'm going to consider who this "famous chick guitar player" could be...

You are going to give it up next month in SLO, though, right? Because otherwise I don't think I can sleep tonight. Please, LET ME SLEEP.

Heh heh. Wake up, Biff! We need you!

Lucious,

She isn't married to the ex-singer of "Nitro", is she? Hahahaha.
If so, you are one lucky mo' fo!

No, really.. I wasn't asking. ;)

You're right, it *is* like a prison in here with the skewed male:female ratio.
We've got a few ladies from EBMM (Beth, Aziah, Blair) Tommy's Janice, Vicky the Philly Kid, and then a gal from the UK (azzy_wazzy) and that's about it.

This forum must be terrifying for females, and doubly so since you're arrived! Hahahha!

All right you gangban...I mean you headbangers

I just spent the day and evening with 5 of the top 6 execs from guitar center.

After a long long day of watching the paint dry, imean of listening to myself talk, I hired a car and took them to Roy's a great restaurant that features the cooking of one of Hawaii's greatest chef's Roy yamaguchi. The limo driver wouldnt let casey in the limo becasue that would make 9 passengers. Dan from eb drove casey and one of the vps tells my wife that guy was a prick. When we get to the restauarnt the limo driver popped the trunk put their briefcases on the side walk and was shaking and said one of you called me an A hole....The Vp said I did not I called you a prick and the driver flipped us off and drove away leaving us stranded. Now here I am mr big fancy dinner limo and walking home. We ended up in a really funny airport shutle bus and sang campfire songs on the way home.

These guys are really trying to figure out how to make a better relationship with their customers and figure out how to sell boutique products like our instruments better. (start by buying and stocking some)

My favorite Luke and Guitar Center story!

My booth at the NAMM show is wild! All of the catsorino's (lukes word) hang there there is food beer tequila and you never ever know what Im gonna do next. We actually have picked up artists becasue they cant believe how much fun it is in the ebmm booth. Larry THomas the then CEO from guitar center sees Luke and Scotty Hamilton and Vai and a bunch of us laughin...He says "Do you mind if I join you" I said sure "Hey , Luke this is Larry Thomas from Guitar Center" Ididnt tell Luke that this guy was the head honcho.
Luke said "Hey, grab a sandwhich and a brew, and who to I have to Bl*w to get you to stock my guitars" I was crying.

Second favorite Luke Guitar Center Story

in 1994 Guitar Center wanted Biff Baby's to play in the middle of the hollywood store.
It was the classic line-up Steve Morse, Luke (one of his first gigs with us.) Albert Lee
John "Jack Go Wild" Ferraro, Jimmy Cox, Sherwood and BP. Luke is a guy that always uses cartage (delivery and setup service) Real men dont use cartage. So after Biff Baby's sound check (margaritas across the street) We go in and the store is packed. Everybody has there instrument in the gig bag but Luke.
Luke says to me "wheres my rig" I said it resembles a half a roll of tums and is inbetween your two front pockets, he said it is more like a dimmer switch. HE said seriously where is my guitar and amp and effects. I said IF you didnt bring it then it isnt here. He rolled a marshall over grabbed a luke off the wall (that is when GC actually stocked the guitars) and we did the show.

The mullett head salesman ( not the one you are thinkin of they still have at least two mullett headed sales men in each of their 150 stores, It may be a wig tho) Said Bro you cant play that guitar it isnt set up for you, nobody can play an off the rack guitar,
Luke said Pal thats why I play MM and proceded to tear it up.

Hmmm....Well for one they can stop leaving the EBMMs on the bottom by the SCHECTERS to get all banged up....nobody wants to pay top dollar for an axe that looks like it got ran over by an airport luggage transport...I mean if PRS gets a wall to themselves howsabout the EBMMS? Secondly...hire knowledgable sales people or at least train them so they don't say something like "You can get that same guitar as an OLP for like a grand less....duh?"
