Bongodude, you have been busy! Your new bass looks like it has a one-piece body from the picture to me as well ... it was completed on 09/19/07 and shipped to GC.

Dan, you're the man! This was the last one for now, I'll promise;) Thanks for the info, very nice about the one-piece body.

I am new to the forum, I have a question regarding one of my Sub four string basses. I am trying to date the instrument by the serial# it is a four string serial number X0005, If any one has an Idea give me a shout..... I have checked most of the serial number data-bases without any luck?

J, there should be another 0 in there ... and if that is the case your bass was built on 4/30/03, is Textured Black, and was shipped originally to Gig's Music in Boise, ID.

I just picked up a beautiful used burnt orange Stingray 4. In new condition, and for a great price. It has a serial number of E35472. What year was this built?

Thanks,
RD

RD, congratulations on your new Lava Pearl-finished StingRay! It was built on 1/01/09. The finish is discontinued but is a pretty color!

whoa...

John, very nice cool thing that you found just the right bass for you - it was completed on 03/23/06 and was shipped to Wild West Guitars in Riverside, Ca. Finish is Medallion Gold.

It had only been on the wall for a couple days then when I bought it..it is a GREAT bass..I want the ernie ball family to know..this is the only guitar or bass that I own. that I never wanted to change a thing on...I put new batteries in and new strings and that is all...I'm looking for the same bass but with a rosewood finger board as mine has a maple fingerboard..and thanks for the info, peace...John Vollmer

F09972 WOW 5 years on the shelve and it still looks new and plays great. The rosewood fretboard looked parched. Very light in color. Whats NOS? Thanks for the info.

Thanks for correcting me on the color. I haven't played a 4 banger in a while, but wow, this baby begs to be slapped and popped. :)

New Old Stock ;) In other words, brand new instruments still not sold. It happens. :D

For the fretboard, do please try the Wonder Wipes fretboard conditioner. Trust me - you will like the result. It's all I use anymore.
