basseman, this serial number doesn't look like an MM SN#- please check again and re-post

I'll have the seller check one more time and post some pics. The bass was bought between 2001 and 2003, serial number is at the bridge; is this normal for these models?

I am curious about my SR4. Serial number E35691. I think the paint is Metallic Honeyburst but I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks!

basseman,
If it's a Classic model, then the serial number will be on the bridge. Any other model bass or guitar will have the serial number on the neck plate.

Hey guys, new to the forums and new to bassing, stopping in to check on a serial number. Stingray E41464. Any info would be helpful. Also, i know there is probably a thread going already for this, but what can I do to help spot a fake? Thank you for your time.

E41464 - DOB: 07/14/04, black SR4-H, ash body, maple neck/ rosewood fretboard, black pickguard.
How to spot a fake:
1) Post the serial number here and I'll let you know if it's valid, and if it matches the description.
2) Post pictures of the suspicious instrument either here, on th official pics thread, or here: http://forums.ernieball.com/music-man-basses/47253-infadels-fake-stingrays.html. Someone will spot it and give you a solid answer.
