Have a Stingray 4 natural finish - unlined fretless serial number is 43093.
Any info about it would be great.
I got you to check this before a couple of years back,but I lost the emails & my account info to the site.

In my case the body does not seem to have a date stamp in the neck pocket/pup cavity (it is not my bass, but one that I was considering to buy and only the body is being sold). Does that sometimes happen with pre-EB stingrays? Is there any other way I can figure out whether the body is authentic?

This StingRay 2EQ was completed on October 20th, 1994. The color is Natural with the Rosewood fretboard. It was originally shipped to Strings & Things.

It's difficult to say since it was made before Ernie Ball took over the company. E-mail some photos or a link to the ad to [email protected], we'll check it out. Just a heads up, our necks are proprietary, so aftermarket neck options would be the only thing available if they aren't selling it with the original neck.
