Hi Y'all I am new to this fantastic site. I own 2 Sterlings , a black/mapleneck from Nov 2001 serial F04856, and an earlier fretless honeyburst/Pao ferro serial B04126 from around 1996. The link to the serial number database seems dormant as posts stop at 2003. Is there another way to get accurate dates or to access this site? Or am I doing something wrong?

043504- DOB: 11/15/94. You're best bet is to check ebay for values of similar/same models.



barfly, I believe you're talking about OLP basses. We do not keep OLP serial #'s in our database, sorry.

No it is a MIJ Stingray EX model that was assembled for a short period in the 90's I believe.

Blue Pearl Bongo-4 HH, painted maple neck/ rosewood fretboard, DOB: 10/06/05, shipped to Guitar Center #342, Bridgeton, MO.
The Bongo was introduced at Winter NAMM in 2003.

lordofthebass, welcome to the forum! The best way to go is to post your S/N here, and more often than not I can help you out with the DOB, along with the stock specifications on your instrument (if you ask). Personally, I'm not sure who keeps up musicmanbass.org, or if they are currently updating their stats.

barfly, unforunately we don't have your S/N in our records. However, I looked for your S/N on musicmanbass.org and came across one close to yours (48193), which was built in 1996.
