So it's not a Sting Ray? I think i found a decaled one.

Does the serial number start with an "E" or an "F"? Sterlings will start with an "F". Does the bass have a 3 way switch?

4 string Sterling H in white sparkle---F04366. Purchased used a few years ago and would love to know the prod date and any other info you can provide (wood type used for body, etc.).
Thanks, EB!

Should be an ash body completed on May 30th, 2001.

OK, I am a schmuck - it's E90903 !!!! Sorry, am sure that leaving off that first letter was the REAL problem... thks, Danny

;) All good! That bass was completed on September 17th, 2013!

Thanks AJ you're wonderful!!....firemist hey... it's such a good price that I may just have to bask in orange overload for a while lol!

We think you could pull off Orange Firemist just fine! Hope all is well!

Thanks for providing this as a service...

Sterling or SR?

Starts with an F. And i checked it, it doesn't have a three way switch.

Here are some photos of it.

Thanks for all the help so far.

Strangely, from the pics it looks like an E, not an F. I think another 70 mile trip must be done, again. The store attendent said it was an F.

As an additional thing: is there a explanation of how EB Serial Numbers work? I've been on a quest to find one, and i don't want to bother everytime i need a serial number check...

That looks like E13424... as you mention below. E13424 was completed on April 6th, 2000. The serial numbers are quite random but we document them before they leave the factory. You do not bother us at all by asking for a build date!

That bass was completed on January 25th, 2012. It's the first active/passive Stingray and we did 200 4 strings and 100 5 strings. Very cool bass.

Your description matches the description we have for that serial number. It was completed on October 3rd, 2006.

That bass was completed on November 17th, 2008. The color is Orange Firemist.

Purchased a 4 string stingray today. Serial is E23270. Would love to know more detail about the year, body and color (looks to be a metallic orange), if you don't mind. Thanks!
