Welcome to Day 3 of my annual New Year's New Guitar Days (NYNGD)!

Alright, we're rolling now! Thanks for the kind words and comments on yesterday's #2020-2!

Today's NYNGD is like the aliens landed, saw the Silhouette with Floyd from yesterday's NYNGD, applied all kinds of otherworldly advanced technology to it, and came up with the Majesty. The Stallion. Perhaps BP and JP had help creating this playing machine?

The Majesty just gets out of your way and lets you play. This one is no exception. The Red Phoenix pearl finish forgoes the flame/quilted maple shield and just delivers a no-frills (but still 100 frills) tool. Its basswood body combined with the maple neck-thru with ebony board gives tonal differences from the usual mahogany body and she sounds bright and punchy. I just love this guitar as a workhorse that's not so pretty you're afraid to play it. Grab it, jam, track something, lean it on the studio rack, bang the headstock on a mic stand when you turn around. All good. Make. Music.

I'll be back tomorrow with another NYNGD: New Year's New Guitar Day! Thanks for looking everyone!

(The back story in case you're new to my NYNGD: For the past couple of years I've done a fun thing that most of you I think enjoyed, and I thought I would do it again this year. Every year, I am a slacker about keeping my Guitar Gallery up to date... So, as a fun holiday thing, let's launch a guitar in the Guitar Gallery each day leading up to New Years Eve! In the past I've received PM's about my collection and whether I play all of these guitars. :) The same question came up during my NYNGD posts a few years ago and my answer was pretty detailed and well thought-out, so please check it out here!)

(Also, in case anybody gets any funny ideas -- these guitars are not at my house. They are all in my very secure and alarmed studio facility. I usually only have two guitars floating around the house...)

Wow! I'm so used to seeling translucent finishes- I really like that in a solid colour. (Not to mention that the photography is top notch.)

I still have yet to play one of these.

Great stuff.

I usually don’t like red guitars but that looks great.

It's the start of the serial number. I blanked it out for security purposes. Probably doesn't matter but... can't hurt.

Ah, smart man, don't blame you there. I wasn't sure if it was a proto or something like that.

Thanx, Glenn |B)
