LOVING the neck pickup on this Sterling 5HH for tone on this, especially slap

I really love my HS because its so mush easier to pop but I hate the volume drop off of the SC pickup options when I"m playing live. The HS is more versatile overall but the HH is more versatile live though... EXCEPT with so much slap i've been using the HS exclusively at gigs.

tuna, how long do the cobalts last you, compared to the slinky's?

Not too significantly longer, i think slinkies are the best value string going. Cobalt just have that tone to add aggression to the mahogany

OK, back in the club (for the 3rd time, gulp, hope this one stays around a bit longer).

This was kicking around as New Old Stock, and now its mine.

Me and Keko love the Reflex, how many more are there like this one out there? I wonder.

love that it has "dimples" on it

Plays like a dream, especially once I get flats on it (my requirement, not the company's)

Best PDN run ever! The new one would have been on par if the matching HS was there.

Great score! Still gigging your Sterling 5 HH man. Thanks again!

You will love that bass.
If you still have the Big Al in your avatar I'd like to know how they compare.

Big al left a while back. Sonically similar, except for the humbucker at the bridge which is very gnarly. Feels more compact due to smaller body shape and shorter headstock.

My PDN Bongo...

Well i Just Received it last month..., played for a few days, and I am totally in love, I got to say something about this finish, definitely the pictures of this version does not make it look as good as it is in real life.

I will post better Pics as soon as i get home next month.

Its not even close!

GREAT score... I think I almost bought that one on talkbass near the Canadian border. Love my Bongo 5HH its my number one right now with the Sterling 5HH PDN slightly behind it! KEEPERS FOR LIFE!

Its the best neck finish I've ever seen... satin, roasted birdseye, pau ferro, matching HS... ridiculous
